are u talking about the r34? pick anything... cannot do LHD w/o messing with the turbos, no real bumpers, lots of emissions problems (which incidentally was the excuse nissan used to kill the skyline... they couldn't make the rb26dett pass emissions anymore)....

They put so much restrictions on the rb26dett to pass emissions that it wasn't even funny. $300 worth of mods can kick that baby up to 320-340awhp.

well according to the article R32 would be legal in Aug! so dont be suprise to see them soon

yeah 15yrs r considered antiques so anything is legal by that time - u could see some very interesting stuff. I think u can do the same for evo3 i think

well there r plenty of cars of interest right now available in Canada ie 350Z, STi, RX8 to a lesser extent for approx 50k, the car would be at least that and u need to include all the shipping and documentation fees

it would be cool to see R32 around though

In Canada through an importer you can import an R32 GTR for anywhere between $10-20K depending on kms, mods, auction or private sale grade, etc.....

Canada has a 15 year import rule for JDM cars, which are 100% legal to drive here once they are legal and imported properly. They don't have to pass any emission laws or crash tests...thst's the beauty of the 15year rule.

check out the jns site (link above). a good used r32 gtr averages around $20k cdn shipped w/paperwork. a bad one goes for as low as $8k cdn. all it needs is provincial inspection, taxes, and insurance.

yeah. as for why its not allowed. It's just lame canadian law stating that only vehicles built specifically for a canadian market can be registered, unless it is 15 years or older. although, IF you buy 3 new skylines you can have 2 of them crashtested and the third one modified to meet our safety standards. but who in their right mind would crash test 2 perfectly good skylines

motorex did. but then that's why their skylines are so freaking expensive... trying to recoup the cost of crashing all those skylines

yeah, but even then, you cant buy skylines from motorex if you live in canda (not legally anyways). I know there are a few skylines in canada, but the owners have them either registered in the us, or are commiting insurance fraud. Either way, it can result in some serious legal trouble.
