I went to a car show this weekend and have 2.

There was a mid 80's supra sitting there and I talked to the owner for a minute.

Me- Nice car, do you know what turbo is in it?

Him- no, but its got this gauge, but I dont even look at the guage you can just feel the car pull harder. It's pretty fast.

Nice guy but he was completely clueless.

As I was leaving I was at a stop light sitting beside a 65 ish C10. It was restored pretty well and tastefully modded.

I waved at him but he didnt see me so I reved up a little bit. He looked at me surprised, and said "I hope you dont want to race, this this is nice but its a dog"

Me- No, I just wanted to say nice truck.

I want to get some hella's so my exhaust is no longer louder than my horn...

My girl lives in Jers, and not pumping gas in the winter is incredible for sure

Here in Nevada they have this chain of gas stations called Fabulous Freddies where they pump gas for you but I always tell them i'm doing it.

I just bought a wagon and had it shipped home, so I have a car when I get home. It arrives and my dad drove it home and was already pissed at me for shipping so much stuff home and spending money. So he told me over the phone that it "ran like ****" and sounded "horrible"

Immediately I'm like great, I bought a peice of crap. So I had him take it to the dealership and run a compression test with leakdown. Numbers came back perfect, so I called him back up and said what the hell dad.

I asked if he knew anything about subaru's and he said no........... Do you know how they sound? No....... when you got on the gas did you even allow the turbo to spool to determin it had no power? I don't know........ $400 later, I could have spent that money on the car damnit!

bottom line, don't rely on your 50 year old parents to tell you if your car is in good condition.

My dad drove mine to me bc I was swapping the gas saver for the WRX. Up until his review (he loved it, said it rode smooth and sounded great) I was thinking about selling it and getting an older one so I'd have something paid off.

Sorry you spent $400 needlessly

It's ok, I mean afterall I did buy the car sight unseen. So really I couldn't say right then and there that he was wrong, but after I had them test it and the numbers were good. That's when I was like..... wait a minute

and when I talked to him originally about it he was so furious at the time that he wouldn't go into detail about anything. My mother knew better than him haha.

ooooooooo well........
healthy WRX FTW

got pulled over tonight and gave me a ticket for everything I didn't do,

cop: sir, you realize you floored it when the light turned green and burned out?

me: I didn't hear my tires screech nor can this burnout it's all wheel drive.

cop: well your tires screech when you turned the corner, also you did excessive acceleration, and got up to well over 40 in a 25.

me: I did no such thing, I accelerated at most to 30 I'll admit that and I did not accelerate excessively people mistake my exhaust time with that

cop: you also almost hit two pedestrians so I'm going to have to give you careless driving for all that.

little does the cop now I was logging and I have a gps in my car, top speed was 29 and he was saying he clocked me at over 40.

From a Subaru dealership?

Sounds about right I mean they want 500$ for a power steering pump. And 1200 to put it in.

Since I drive a rhd vehicle all I ever get is "Your steering wheel is on the wrong side." I don't even know how to respond to do this anymore.

Just tell them they are wrong, because it's on the "right" side.

I really don't see the resemblance from subaru to ford, I don't understand how people are that mistaken by this.

I think it's the blue oval ^

EDIT: They see the emblem shape and color and disregard the stars and anything else. I got asked about my "Ford" before. Dude was driving a Ford Fiesta, too.
