Oh hi guys!

Car was put back to stock and sold to a good friend of mine. I have a cool 6-speed SH ForesterXT now. Come and follow me there instead. Give me hope that the forums are not dead or that people hate Foresters, haha

I've gone through page 1 to 128 of this whole thread all morning. It was a great Sunday morning read. I have to say, the amount of work was amazing you put into this car. Very original and unique. I'm upset that I was late to the game with this thread only purchasing my 14 hatch wrx a year ago and coming across this now. Sad to see it is gone also I see you got a forester and im excited to go onto that thread and check out the amazing things you've done with that! But for this thread I have a few questions..

1.) The sliding cup holder cover. Do you have a DIY for that?

2.) I see you mounted your garage control in front of the cupholders, and I was planning on doing that for my air ride control. Do you have a diy write up or at least pointers for me?

3.) I hydrodipped the plastics of my interior recently and wanted to do the plastic surroundings around the door handles. I took the door trim off to see that they were plastic welded into place with a few screws. Did you find this was the case since I saw you got yours off? If so, how did you get it off and back on?

Thank you so much for inspiring me and making me excited to do more things with the car. Looking forward to your response!

Okay, so I have gone through your ENTIRE thread, and maybe I missed it, but did you paint your grill or put a aftermarket one on? I was trying to figure it out from pictures you've posted, but I can't seem to tell for certain. Thanks!

PS....sorry to awaken a old thread.

EDIT: after further investigation I can see that the top portion of the grill is indeed black. That being said, did you paint or purchase a black upper grill piece?

He sold this car a while ago and hasn't been on nasioc too much even with a newer Forester. You may want to try contacting him via his website if really needed. www.overland-designs.com

No worries man, all good!
The grille on the front of the car was 100% stock. I had a red stripe on it for a couple years, but for the rest of it's life it went back to stock.

Thanks for getting back with me. After further research I saw that you did sell the REX and moved on to bigger and better things...I also noticed that all 11+ wrx/STI's have painted top pillars to their grills. Since mines a 09 I guess I'd have to either paint or something.

Thanks again!
