Do you know what caused the headlight crazing? Doesn't seem like it would be the DD-Clights because the LED's don't really put off any heat.

If it does get worse, I'll try and wetsand it like you suggested with my fingers crossed, and if that fails I'll throw them back together temporarily and order a new set =/ Maybe the 2018 lights will fit.... hehe |

Do you have laminx or film on the lens?
Maybe it's caused by what kind of paint you used? Fumes or vapors sealed in the lights or something. Not sure. I really hope I don't have the same issue |

Hi All,
So I did this last week, and I have the Diode Dynamics harness to connect to my DRL resistor. I have a 15' WRX STI UK Type, and I looked for the connector on the passenger side of the NA models (that's what the instructions say) which would be driver side. Everything was there as expected, the horn, the other harnesses and everything.. but the DRL resistor wasn't there. I checked my passenger side (driver side in NA) and it wasnt there. Is there anything I'm missing? I checked everywhere and I couldn't find it. I thought if I hardwired it to my DRL harness going into the bulb it would work, but it doesn't. Any ideas? |

Hey everyone,
I am trying to design an RGB c-light for my 2016. It will be similar to the Morimoto but with the ability to control individual LEDs. The first step would be creating a pcb layout that fits in the c-light area. I unfortunately don't have an aftermarket c-light that I could use as a reference and the only other option would be to take my headlights apart and try to create a sort of template that I can use. So, I thought I'd come to you all and see if anyone has a set of uninstalled c-lights (DD or Morimoto) that they could send me a picture of next to a ruler for scale. I would owe you big time. Thanks |

Which Wire do I tap
Hello, I tapped mine into the light that was in the C-Light hole. When i turn my DRLs on it still has the high beams on low. How do I do the wiring so I can just have my diode dynamics lights on when my drls are on. Also, what do I do with the socket for the Parking lights and the C light bulb???

https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/sho...1&postcount=35 For the socket for the old parking light bulb, I just taped it up and stowed it. I used an appropriately sized water bottle cap and caulking on each headlight to seal up the hole that the C-light wires run through |

I just picked up my first Subaru last month and my C light doesn't seem to work and I'm not able to post a new thread since my account is too new. This thread seems the most relevant to ask this.
2016 STI Limited from the dealership so I never got to talk to the original owner. The car seems completely stock so i am unsure if there was any C-light conversions. Anyone know which fuse or settings I need to check to see if the C light is turned off or broken? Any way I can easily check if the C-light was converted to LED or disconnected? From what i can tell the C light is only on during night time, right? Also, both lights are out so i feel like it's either been disconnected or a fuse blown. |

Might be good to take a picture of the problem with various light settings selected. For the C-lights, a closeup of the headlight assembly might help, or otherwise look to see if you've got any non-stock looking wiring coming out of the back of the outer/upper portion of the headlights. |

What does the white wire do specifically? If I don't hook it up, will the C Lights not turn on if my parking break is up?

Pictures were working the other day, but now that I have time to reply I can't see them. From what I remember seeing, everything worked on the driver side, but no C-light. Does everything work on the other side, or are the c-lights out on both sides?
Previously you said: [qoute]Also, both lights are out so i feel like it's either been disconnected or a fuse blown.[/quote] so I assumed you were talking about low/high beams, but now I think I realized you're saying BOTH c-lights are out. Maybe there is a fuse for that... I don't have factory c-lights on my car so I can't really confirm. Yours doesn't look aftermarket. |

Does anyone know where the signal/power wire is for the c-lights so when you turn on parking for example, the c-lights/boomerang go on? With the 2017 headlights I have, I can't just replace the bulb like some other older models, but wondering if there's a specific wire that I can splice into to power on the c-light/boomerang as DRL's.

Subispeed Headlight for 2016 WRX
On the subject of headlights, I have a working Subispeed v1 headlight, just the housing (black back portion) is cracked and I'm looking to purchase a replacement. Anyone have info on the manufacturer or tips on mending this. Subispeed won't sell parts or just a single headlight they force you to buy the set. I know that this might be in the wrong place but this is a new account and I have post restrictions (SORRY!)

The tabs are broken off, and the main cracks broke around the ballast motor locking point, I'm going to try to repair it probably this weekend, I got it pulled appart checked all the cables and lights, started cuts on the areas that need to be reformed. I more or less wanted to know if anyone knew how to get parts for these. Etc. Because me options now are limited to fab work now.

Also, 'm not familiar with how the (updated?) DRL harness is made, so it does kind of depend on that. Do you have a link to the PDF of the instructions? |

For info in case future issues arise with others. Will report back when I take everything apart:
Installed mine months back with bezels. Today I got some some strange activity. When headlights are off, my passenger side C-light is off. When I turn into the ambers option (before headlights fully on) my C-lights work appropriately (with bezels) but when I turn on the headlights, the left C-light is cut off and the passenger side headlight is off. So strange. Also have a disabled headlight 'cel.' That ish cray. I'm going to go double check my wiring and verify it didn't' come loose over the course of the year. Very strange activity though since it's not exactly a complete loss of signal from a loose wire from what I see. |
