Default Best non puck clutch for 5MT?

Hello,
Iím looking at Clutches for 5MT out of NA car. The exedy 15801 comes up but itís only rated at 200 wheel torque. The act sb2-HDss says itís good for 312. Iíve read though that exedy makes the act clutch. The exedy is significantly cheaper (can be found under $200 at times m). Any thoughts as to which will really hold more and if act is much sturdier?

No exedy doesn't make act parts. They do make oem stuff, maybe that's what you heard.

And if they have different ratings, you can generally trust that. Even if they were made by the same place, you can do things like put stiffer springs in the pressure plate.

For the most part, unless you have poured a lot of money in the build, a Subaru 2.5 NA should be fine with an ACT SSHD clutch kit.
Taken from someone with a high CR SB, cams, COBB EL headers, high flow CAT and CATback.
I should be around 225HP and DD with AutoX and hard street time.

PS, I may be off on my PN, whatever.

The part number I listed is the only non multi pad (4 or 6 puck) one they sell. The others are rated for 400 lb ft though.

You could just use an oem/oem replacement push type for a turbo car, like exedy fjk1001

Oh really? I donít know why I thought they were push vs pull specific. That seems like itíd be better. I could go for an exedy 15804.
