trololol
Horrible troll attempt.

Yes, we hate it when our devices want to automatically put all of our apps back on for us, without even having to restore a backup. It really sucks that it is so convenient and easy.

R0b, to stop them in the future just go into Settings > Backup & Reset, uncheck auto-restore. Then just go back to Play Store and stop-all.

Don't uncheck the auto restore in settings since it won't stop the phone from restoring apps. All it does is make sure that if you reinstall an app that you had installed before, it will restore its settings for you.

Not sure if serious

My instructions were 2 part. The first part disables restoration of settings primarily, but also seems to let you stop apps from restoring. The second stops the restoration already in progress. You are correct, the 1st step alone doesn't stop it... that's what the 2nd step is for.

You can turn it back on after. It worked for me.

i never had a problem simply stopping all downloads as you described in step 2 without doing step 1 but i haven't done it in a few weeks so i could be mistaken. now i simply uncheck the option of keeping your account backup with google when i go through the initial phone setup since i use TB to restore anything anyway.

There's also a trick you can do that bypasses the initial configuration steps, simultaneously skipping app restoration... but I can't remember what it is.

But yeah, you can usually just Stop All in the play store without doing anything else. My suggestion was for if that failed.

So just to be clear:

If I install Titanium Backup I can kill the factory bloatware? No other programs or steps needed?

The bar at the top, there are options available right (not many it seems)?

The green battery icon is annoying.

Weird, all of a sudden people are telling me that I'm "breaking up" during phone calls...never happened before. Would anything phone related cause this, or would it be a strictly carrier related issue?

LG Spectrum, rooted.

to be honest, i think i have only tried one or 2 apps that change the way the battery looks but i don't remember what they are. i have been using different ROMS and most of them change the way this looks so i have had no need to find anything else.

Anyone know if the note II is 4x4 grid home screens only or is there a way to switch it 5x5 grid screens like in the OG galaxy note? One of the best things I liked about the note was the 5x5 stock screens, seems to take better advantage of all that screen space.

4x4, it appears, except for the bottom row, of course.

This is what I've done in the past. I actually just "freeze" the app for a while and see if it screws anything up. You can thaw it after if you decide you need it.

Use any number of launchers (Apex, Nova, Go Launcher, etc) other than the stock one and you can run any grid size you want.

Yeah I know you can do it with other launchers. I've grown to like the look at feel of touchwiz so I'd prefer to stay with that if possible. Kinda sucks that they went to 4x4 for some reason. Can't think of why they would do that.
