Question 2013 WRX hatchback shifter

Iím looking to get the Cobb short shifter. Do I buy just the shifter or do I also need the bushings that I found on a package sale with the shifter? I have a 2013 WRX stock. Thanks!

The bushings are not for the short shifter itself. There are front and rear bushing kits you can get that will help a lot if you have slop in your shifter, but you don't need them for the short shifter. Also, the hex screw things are Very soft so be careful to not strip it.

Disagree, the GR/GV has a lot of slop and OP should do the bushings as well.

Yeah I agree that the bushing as a great upgrade and should be done, I was saying that they are not necessary to install the short shifter
