Our gym has been doing something we call the "Dirty Dozen" for the past few years, tonight being the 3rd annual. It starts at 7 p.m. on Friday and ends at 7 a.m. on Saturday. 12 WODs, every hour on the hour. I did it last year...don't know why I signed up again. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment. The WODs are always themed and never announced beforehand. Should be fun.

No, people would be keeling over after a few hours of benchmark WODs.

My co-worker (who is also a coach at my box) has come up with the WODs since it started. Last year it was held while a hurricane was threatening on the coast, so they were mostly hurricane themed. It's usually light-weight or body weight stuff with a 10 or 15 minute time cap. Tough enough to be a challenge, but nothing that's going to ruin people after a few hours. Our gym breaks up our WODs into 2 groups (in short, there is an Rx group and a scaled group) and the WODs tonight will be the same way.

This year they are keeping a running score for the participants, and I'm sure the winner will get some sort of prize. The gym provides snacks, water, etc. I'll post the WOD line-up tomorrow night when I wake up.

We actually did do an alcohol WOD for a coach's going-away party a few months ago. There was a keg involved. We also did a Christmas WOD last year that had AMRAP donut eating as an option. That didn't end well for some people.

I love CrossFit Football. I follow their offseason amateur lifting schedule, but I also do quite a few DWOD's. It blows away anything main site puts up. I also love their sprint workouts.

WOD yesterday:

Fran (5 minute time cap)

Rest 10 minutes

Elizabeth (5 minute time cap)

Rest 10 minutes

Diane (5 minute time cap)

Coming off of 2 straight days of WODs with HSPUs, this sucked. Thursday is rest day, and I'm not complaining.
