Total cost was under $750 shipped to my door. That includes shipping and a 5% charge for using credit card (the one drawback of japanparts.com). I don't remember the exact price breakdown.

Yup, when you add the charge and shipping, the prices don't seem so great on some items. However, some of the items are priced much lower than what you will find from US vendors. Just shop around and don't assume that all prices from Japanparts.com are the cheapest.

Well that sucks. It woulda been nice to keep the total under $700.

I guess I'll call Z1 next time I'm looking for an obscure part

japanparts.com is good for parts that are out of stock in the US
or not a typical part you can get in the US.

they specialize in specialty parts and entire vehicles...

Wow,

I can't get these guys to respond. I have sent 2 emails, and even filled out their parts request form. It has been over a week and no response. Oh well.

Talking

Supreme Thumbs up for JapanParts.com! I also requested a quote on an obscure parts not listed on their site. Had the quote with diagrams to make sure they were quoting the correct parts in about 2 days, placed my order last Friday (May 23rd) and the parts all arrived yesterday (May 29th)! Only 6 days from Tokyo to my door, can't get any better service than that!. Prices were good and International shipping was only $23...not to shabby!

Way to go JapanParts!

Koji was very helpful through the whole process of finding and ordering the parts I needed. The parts were delivered on Christmas morning!

I'd definitely order from them again and recommend them to anyone.

-Milan

P.S. the prices were reasonable, too!

I have not personally bought anything from them before, but I heard that their shipping is pretty fast. Just wait out to see if there are others with different opinions though.

interesting how we still manage to equal or better many other vendors pricing; we are based in Japan so naturally freight is more expensive than local

thanks to all that posted, we will continue to do our best for the Subaru community internationally

Yeah these guys are trustworthy. I ordered a STI grill and got it 2 days later from Japan! I couldn't believe it was that fast! But yeah you kind of take one in the jimmy for shipping though....
