Nothing in here about Terry Bradshaw's 'bucket of chicken' reference in regards to Reggie Bush ?

The comment was more of an inside joke aimed at Jimmy Johnson, who is notorious for putting a bucket of chicken in a headlock.

People need to stop being such sensitive little ninnies.

I remember the day I discovered you weren't black.

Because, you know... chicken... waffles...

That.

And even IF his intentions were other, is it some deep dark taboo secret that black people like fried chicken? But it's totally ok for people to rag on white people for liking mayonnaise. Topic for another thread. In any event, it's stupid and more of a reactionary criticism from guilty white people who feed the fire.

I put my screen name down on a laser tag event in Springfield once. The group that joined up w/ us was all black. I didn't bother trying to explain.

Springfield. That mall. :shudder:

So, back to football, as awesome as fried chicken is. If Vick and the Meagles flounder again tonight, do we think we're gonna get to see the start of the Nick Foles era in Philthy?

I'd be watching the game, but "Remember, Remember" + Cornish Pasty Co. + British ales is going to be more important.

I'd go so far as to say that tonight is Vick's last chance as an eagle. If he stinks, he's gone next year.

re: mall - Last time I was there, it was starting to look as empty as Landmark mall up the road. Dirty as all get out, too.

I think that's a good scenario for Philly. As is keeping Reid, but finding a full-fledged GM to take off some of the burden. We know that won't happen, though. They need their scapegoat.

I worked just across the Beltway from there, so a lot of the places we went for lunch were down that way. Blech.

Reid's a good coach. I know there are some folks who say he's part of the problem but I don't buy it.

The only good place I can think of around there is Hard Times. Mayyyybe Mike's, but I'm still pissed at them for getting rid of their cranberry dipping sauce for chicken fingers in like 1995 .

I don't either. I think he's overworked and has too big of a heart for displaced would-bes / has-beens.

We went to Hard Times a lot. Went to Mike's once, wasn't impressed... too expensive. The Five Guys on Backlick was the closest, too.

The Redskins were ranked 30th in the league in pass defense and 28th in total defense, based on yards allowed, entering Monday night's play. They were last in pass defense for much of the season but moved ahead of the New Orleans Saints, who play Monday night, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
