when and what to mod on my imprezza wrx 03?
I just bought my wrx and it's still under 1k miles so i can't really test it's performance, but i was wondering how soon do most of you start modding your rex? in addition to that, what is usually the first thing that you mod/upgrade? i don't plan on getting every mod for the wrx under the sun, but just a few that will increase the performance and make it even more fun to drive. basically, i would like to know what's a cost effective first time mod for a wrx.

I would do this (probably because I've done it on my car )
1) Turbo-back exhaust 2) Kartboy short shifter and shifter bushings 3) Whiteline swaybars front and rear 4) Whiteline springs |

Wait until after your break in period to start modding ( which you are doing) Then the best bet would be one of the stage setups from companies like Vishnu, Cobb, or Turboxs.
For more info on them and future mods you can check their webpages or look in the Forced Factory Induction forum here. Good luck! www.vishnutuning.com www.cobb.com www.turboxs.com |

the first mod i did was change my wheels and tires....unbelievable increase in handling performance!
I did this first because i knew that the stock ones would not be able to handle any significant power mods I made down the road. the path i took: wheels and tires springs up-pipe and turboback exhaust best of luck...and have fun |

Go for 17" wheels and tires. I would worry about the go-fast parts later on.

Save the extra weight by removing that extra "Z" from your badge, so it just says ImpreZa.
