Massiv USA Street Series Catback Exhaust Review
Only have off the car shots for now, on car and dB testing later this weekend. After a day or three, this will get moved to the Parts Review Forum.
Who the hell is Massiv USA? They are a new NASIOC Vendor and are making a new exhaust. Holler at them via THIS LINK WARNING....I suck at photography Looking through the tip down into the main muffler. Notice....100% straight through design. The internal diameter and the diameter throughout this exhaust is 2 and 7/8ths (AKA 3"). The lightish ring around the main hole is the expansion where it goes to the tip, which is 4". Weld "close-up". It's hard to tell, but even the damn flanges are polished and blingy. Inside the midpipe portion from engine to tailpipe side. You can see first the internal flex joint followed by the resonator. Once again, 100% straight through design and 2 and 7/8ths (AKA 3") diameter throughout. Whole midpipe with resonator Whole muffler section Close up of flex joint Close up of piping and muffler welding Last edited by Unabomber; 10-06-2006 at 11:43 PM. |

Don't think so, but PM them via link posted above. We don't want sales/info about other stuff to clog this thread.

Wow looks great, especially the midpipe!
To bad it's another canister design... (Oh by the way the db is apparently under 92db...) |

Did the exhaust dB testing finally. I installed yesterday, drove it twice really hard and did the dB testing today. I did a dB test right after the install and wanted to see if the bed-in process would quiet it down or make it louder, and it's definately quieter after bedding in somewhat. I'll update the post probably tomorrow with install pics and install notes as well as update my dB chart.
Idle: 92 3000 RPM: 104 In short though...definately one of the quietest I've tested. Stay tuned for a first post update tomorrow or the day after at the latest. |

I am sponsored by Massiv USA through their introductory offer of 2 free exhausts to the most qualified takers offer maybe 2 months ago. In order to do this test I paid like $35 shipping and had to buy the TurboXS catback adapter to turn their proprietary length downpipe into a standard length. That ran me like $125 if memory serves. In the end it wasn't totally free, but it was damned cheap.
My apologies and I have to wait until this weekend for a full review....it's coming I promise and there's a reason why I have to wait that will be explained. |
