Wow, you must wake up every morning and pee in your own cornflakes to be this pissed off about an article...

I think he is just in a funk today cause he bashed the Challenger in another thread....I almost ran home crying 'The world is ending!'

I am KIDDING SRT!! sort of

Actually it was a good read and explains how some magazines can have VERY different numbers from the same car.

Exactly, plus article shows how tedious it could be and not a walk in the park.

It's a good article and its why I like Edmunds reviews and times more than the other mags. They don't need to sell print mags so they don't need to cheat any which wouldn't surprise me if C&D and M&T did.

Yah I am, but in all seriousness Edmunds has some slower times compared to other sources. I did read the article, I just felt like leaving an ignorant comment because I really dont enjoy reading Edmunds.

I have spent many a day standing around for hours testing cars, it is like watching paint dry

Huh? they still need to sell ad revenue just the same as the magazines, it's no different

And for the most part, how Edmunds tests is not much different than what other mags do.

Pretty much the same thing. The procedures are mostly the same, but some do slalom, some don't, some do a figure 8, some include roll out, some don't etc.

Pick any name you want, the answer remains the same.

Remember, most of the people that work for Edmunds learned how to test at other magazines

I just want an idea of who uses roll-out (I imagine they all do), whether 1/4-mile speeds are momentary or averaged over the last few feet per NHRA standards, what SAE correction methods are being used, etc.

I'm sure you can spill some beans such as everything C/D does.

nope

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...t_cars_feature (though it is from 6 years ago)

Edit: it appears that C/D updated the article this month, I have had the story bookmarked for a couple of years so I did not look at it before posting, the original that I thought I was posting was from 2002.
