It's just the picture (angle). I got it and the hood deflector at the same time from the dealership. The Impreza and XV use the same part, E3610FJ660.

I see what you mean about the weathertech's. I don't like that gap either so +1 for the Unibrow, lol.

I know it's a long-shot.. But..

Is anyone selling a passenger side foglight for a GP7? I need the foglight it's self and the black bracket thing that holds it onto the car.

I decided to dive into figuring out why my foglight was floppy yesterday and discovered that one of the two prongs that stabilize the foglight onto the black bracket thing was broken, and thus letting it flop around.

Or if not, does anyone happen to know what one would run at the dealer? I know the "foglight kit" with wiring etc is costly, and you can buy the TYC ones online, but figured I'd check. If the dealer cost isn't bad, I'd just buy two and sell my other good one.

I was between keeping the stock fogs (with replacement one) and doing the Nokya high output LED's, or doing the Outback H11 fog conversion. But I think I may just do the stocks and Nokya h.o.'s.

Sucks man! Nokya's are the way to go. I've had em for 8 months now. Plug and play and have great output. These are an option. You'll have a spare at least.

When you say GP7 you just mean our (fourth) generation Impreza? You just want the reflector bowl and housing...? Because I have the Outback fogs and have no problem letting go of my OEM set.

Yeah, the GP chassis being our 12+. haha

I was gonna ask if the FRS/BRZ fogs were also a direct swap.. I suppose they are? I assumed since they were the same specs, but I wasn't sure.

And yeah, I just need what's in the picture on that eBay link. The headlight it's self and the black bracket with the 4 holes to mount it. If you'd even sell the pair, I'd go for that too.

By the way, how do you like the Outback fogs? I suppose that's not entirely off the table in the future.

Would those FRS ones shown in the eBay link fit in as they should? I noticed those were H11 ones. Would that essentially be like the Outback fogs?

To be honest this would be a great time to get replacement Outback fogs or the BRZ, if they fit. For shipping plus a couple dollars for my trouble my OEMs probably aren't worth it. If you were local though...

I bought the TYC brand Outbacks and they were certainly bright off the bat, H11. I installed HIDs, 4300k, with yellow Lamin X though in the end.

Just out of curiosity, what'd you say on both of your OEM fogs shipped to 15205?

Although it appears as if the FRS ones should fit, I'd hate to spend $90 and them not. haha

I think I want to take your OEM fogs, so long as they're in good shape. I'll PM you.

Also, whilst we're on the topic of lighting..

I ran HID kits before on other cars. I ran one on the Subaru for a little, then went regular halogens with the Philips CVU bulbs. But I want to go HID's again to go along with those Nokya H.O. fog bulbs for the PSX24W's. Those will go good with the Philips reverse bulbs and plate bulbs I have waiting.

Previously, I've generally used the Xentec kits, 35w. Never tried the 55w. Also never tried the CANBUS ones. Are CANBUS recommended for our cars? It seems as if we have the CANBUS system, so that should aide in any issues. If you use the CANBUS kits, do you not need to add the extra relay kit? If you don't use the CANBUS kit, is the relay suggested? I've never ran a relay before and never ultimately had any unforeseen issues. But I want to do it right this time.

In addition, what kit would you recommend? I'm not opposed to spending $100+ on a quality kit that'll last.

Morimoto for HID's. 35W. We don't have canbus I don't think. I've never had a bulb out warning while playing around with lighting all over this car.

Like 2 days after I got this car I had a A/T warning light come on the same day I installed some LED's in the brake lights. May have been a coincidence, but I'm cautious now. haha

Hmm. I've had a headlight out 4 times on this car so far and nothing. That is strange.

PM sent about the fogs.

+1 for Morimoto. I have the 35w fogs and projectors with the relay, no CANBUS. The first set of projector ballasts went bad and The Retrofit Source sent me a new set after following their procedure replacement, received them a few days later.

Apparentky the output is pretty good on them, but I don't know first hand. They're not cheap though. Just search "Nokya PSX24W LED" or just "Nokya LED" on Amazon or eBay and scroll until you see a picture of something that looks like a small briefcase. They're listed around $125 a pair. They have a white and a lime-yellow available.

They certainly aren't cheap which is why I wanted to ask those that have installed these before pulling the trigger. I would go with the white because I don't want any trouble with the law and yellow bulbs.

I don't believe it's illegal to have yellow fog lights. I could be wrong, but I've never heard of anyone getting pulled over for having yellow lights up front. I think it is technically illegal, however, to use your fog lamps in anything other than inclement weather... although most cops, at least around where I live, couldn't care less.

Plug and play. Literally took me 2 minutes per bulb. Zip tied the little harness to the top of the fog light for stability.

First, no matter what bulbs you have, unless you run them without low beams on, you won't get the full effect for the conditions that require them.

Unfortunately, Subaru decided to wire them to the low beams instead of the parking lights, so you would have to wire them to be independent yourself. I can assure you that the stock bulbs, sans low beams, are quite adequate for thick fog.

Otherwise, in thick fog (10-20 mph), your low beams refract in the fog directly in front of you too much to see what the fog lights are actually doing, therefore rendering them useless.

My point is that when you change them, you probably won't notice a difference... Unless you do the independent mod.

I've been using these for a little over a year:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/271006845159

They're fine, but not super bright. Not expecting HID's, but ya know.

Some cars come stock with yellow fogs, so I'd tell them to suck it.

Silly question.

I know some folks have done the DRL disable.

I found some links of how to do it for other Imprezas, and supposedly ours is the same.

Now, while I was messing with my foglights, I looked up inside behind the passenger side fog and I saw what I believe to be the DRL resister box thingy. Is that what this is? By simply unplugging it, it'll eliminate the DRL's, correct? Some sites said you could also unbolt the box and remove it entirely. Is this the case? If so, Imma go do that right now. lol
