PW TMIC and Cusco tower strut bar
RSD has photos on their site showing their 2011 STI with Cusco bar and PW intercooler fitting together. A customer review there states "5 mm" gap between the two.

I have a '08 WRX with a Cusco bar and PW intercooler. Plenty of room. I'll try and get some pics later today.

Had my tuner install this for me due to snapped bolts and he left off the hood scoop fins but put the metal shroud on. Haha anyone else do this for any reason?

I installed the Process West TMIC today and it was much simpler than what people on these forums make it out to be. I am currently in a leg cast due to surgery on my ankle so I am only able to weight bear on 1 leg. I used a cooler to kneel on and basic hand tools to complete the install in under 3 hours. The most difficult part of the install was lining up my provided t-bolt clamps. If I used the provided worm clamps I would of finished in less than 2.5 hours. Big thanks to the OP, I must of read through your instructions 10 times last week and it made my install a breeze today.

I do assume there's plenty of air hitting the intercooler w/o tho |

I have been running this for about a month now. The throttle body side hose keeps popping off. How tight can I clamp the throttle body clamp with a t-bold clamp? Is it plastic or aluminium? I just don't want to damage anything if I wrench it down.

I had the same problem! Fresh hose clamps (I had used ones) and a dab of hairspray on the inside of the hose before fitting it seemed to do the trick. Tighten them with a socket, not a flathead screwdriver, and don't over tighten! Worm clamps will hold fine if done properly.

Recently traded my STI TMIC for a Turbo xs TMIC. I have a 2004 wrx. The Turbxo XS was off of a 2005 STI. Took my tmic out, and now I'm trying to fit my turbo xs in. I heard something about having to bend a bracket? Which bracket do I have to bend for it to fit in there? Been trying for a while.

Should I wait
I'm upgrading my '08 to TP Stage 3.52 (VF52, PW TMIC, one step colder spark plugs, fuel pump and EBCS)....right now I have every part except by new turbo and the TMIC and fuel pump are the only parts I can install without my new map. Would you recommend that I just wait to install the TMIC until I get the turbo since I'll have to remove it to install the turbo?
I've taken my stock TMIC off several times so I'm not expecting the swap to be an issue for me, but it sounds like the PW TMIC is more difficult than stock to take on and off. Thanks for any advice! |

Anybody else's intercooler sit crooked on the
Passenger side. No matter how much I tried to get it to sit straight it just didn't happen. The driver side is about 1/4 lower then the driver side. The install was waaaay easier then this thread made it seem by the way. |

Do you have oil in the hoses? Are you using Tbolt clamps?

Anyone noticed that the car vibrates more at idle after installing processwest splitter? It is much felt on the steering wheel and it's a little annoying to hold on to it at a stop. The hood vibrates a lot as well when idling.

Just installed the Process West Tmic. The Correct T -Bolt clamp sizes are:
Turbo flange:2.25"-2.65" Intercooler inlet:2.75"-3.10" Intercooler outlet:3.01"-3.25" Throttle body:3.01"-3.25" I really didn't like how the t -bolt clamp on throttle body was fitting, so I removed it and replaced it with an extra strong worm clamp . |

Back from the dead but is the best thread for installing the process west tmic. I ended up breaking the bolt that holds the passengers side bracket and goes from tranny to motor. Luckily the angle is ok and the one top bolt holds just fine and tight. Rusted bolt and terrible subaru hardware seems to get cheaper by the newer year.

I know this thread is dormant but figured I'd chime in since people like me found it a useful resource
The PW TMIC comfortably fits with the Cusco Strut Tower Bar, it even has 1/4~1/2 in clearance and once bolted down properly the IC won't move much. For those of you needing replacements for those brittle trim clips for the hood scoop duct (NOT the trim clips for the acoustic liner) - I used Acura 91512-SX0-003 clips; they seem like an exact match for the Subaru ones, and a box of 25 can be had for ~ $6 off of many websites including Amazon. |

I know this thread is old, but looking for info. Vendors for this particular tmic seem to be nonexistent online now, and I bought one used, but it didn't include any of the hardware(bolts) for installation. Can anyone tell me the specification for the bolts(length/thread pitch/etc.) So I can just source some locally? Thanks.

still looking for info on the hardware, if someone can point me in the right direction. I've emailed Process West directly multiple times with no response whatsoever.
