i ordered a limited edition lip (v2 sti lip) from them earlier this month 12/16. i did call them too just to make sure they know that i wanted the part rushed to me. Kanako was very informative and she responded with a full quote within a matter of several hours. they had the parts shipped from japan on 12/18 and dispite customs backups, i got the parts by 12/20! and the price was only $485 shipped! that's cheaper than
what most shops sell in the States!!! hahahaha. they are very good. future expensive parts like coilovers, etc will be ordered from them for sure. my tein HA's are good, but probably getting RA's or the HKS sometime next year. they can pretty much get any part even if its not on their site. |

ewww, just got my credit card statement and found that japanparts.com double charged me for the lip! the thing i hate most is that the currency conversion rate changes all the time so i may get hit with misc conversion charges from the cc company.
im glad i have all the communication email in my computer to dispute. i put in a dispute to the cc company as well so do not need to pay. hummm... might be the last time using these people. one mistake is one too many for international. |

It usually takes them a week or more to get back to you on the price quote but they do eventually. Aside from the quotation time it took 3 days to get a part from Tokyo to my doorstep even with a CC mix up. These guys rock, great prices too

if you're in a big rush, call them. ive spoken to Kana. she does
great work. Also, Akira helped me out as well during the last transaction. Give them reasonable time (2days) as when you send in the request, they need to process them with their suppliers which could possibily take one to 2 days depending on their load. also, know the Japanese national holidays as well if you are in a rush to get things. |

Quotation time takes a week or two but its worth it. Even with shipping the prices are well below most US retailers. And shipping time is incredible. I have yet to have a better transaction with a vendor

I have a question about how shipping is handled from Japan to the US. Are you/they responsible for any duty/tax on the shipment since they are new parts? If so, how is this handled... When they are shipped, or a form that is supposed to be submitted to Uncle Sam?
I am interested in how this all works since I am likely about to make a decent size purchase from them. |

I was getting a little impatient when I asked for a quote for an STi grill (it took around a week), but when I got the quote ($237 shipped) I ordered. Shipping was surprisingly fast. It couldn't have taken more than a week, and with no hassles re duty or anything else (at least not on my end). If I ever order any more JDM stuff I am definitely going to give them the first shot at my business.

I just placed an order with them.
I got a order number. Do they send a confirmation e-mail after the order has been placed or do they wait until the order has shipped to give you that info? Thanks, Richard |

they will send you an email with EMS tracking number (USPS).
the track number will not be immediately active, probably the 2nd day you will see it in their system. you should not have to pay duty...at least i haven't. if you do, the post office will either give you an remittance advice (invoice) which you can mail or drop off at the post office. jparts is great. actually, im expecting part to arrive from them today. hahaha. |

10-14 days? I've order JDM parts from another source shipped using EMS and it took 3 days to reach me on the east coast to JFK International then to me in NJ 30 minutes from NYC. Probably helps if you have an international airport nearby. I don't think you have to pay duty unless it's over $500 maybe?

I was worried about ordering from this company since they're located in Japan, but I decided to try them out and am happy with the results
I ordered STi trailing arms and lateral links from this website about 2 weeks ago. I just got the parts today...they got from Japan to my door within a week of being shipped out of Japan I would have had the parts sooner but they were backordered for a few days. The service and communication, prices, and speed in getting out the order were all real good. I'd definitely buy from them again. |

Real easy ordering.
It was pretty much the same for me. They responded to my price request within a couple days. After getting the quote I went to the site and filled out the payment form. 2 weeks later I have my parts
