Default P&L 30R rotated kit review

Just wanted to mention my recent tune at P&L with their 30R kit. It made 451awhp and 452awtq on 100 oct. Everything feels and runs great. There is hardly any lag and it pulls hard all the way to redline.

Drive ability is also a concern considering I drive my car daily and clock about a 100 miles a day. down time wasn't even really that long, it took about three weeks which was really good.

I'd just like to thank the guys over at P&L, I still need to work on my driving, but I've already cracked a 11.8 with it. I know there's a low 11 in the car, I just need to work on it.

Here is a 12.0 Run of his. IIRC, this was his first run of the day. First time on the track with this setup.

wow impressive numbers for the 30r kit! Did you happen to make any pulls on pump gas? Just curious as to how it stacks up against other kits who are on pump as well... Anyways nice car, oh and that hood is the S3x, but you should take out that little silver mesh piece, it would look cleaner... just my .02... enjoy the new found power!

Sweet setup man! A mod list would be cool, is that top mount or front mount, I can't quite see a front mount in the pic so I was just wondering.

Also, not saying P&L isn't a good shop, because their work proves otherwise, but IMHO 3 weeks sounds a bit above average for a bolt-on kit. Maybe they were hooking up some aquamist and some other mods, or perhaps they are very busy. I'd think 3 days would be more than adequate to have everything done and ready to go.

I don't work for P&L but have a friend whom was finishing a year long buildup over there at the same time his car was getting finished. I think he is forgetting to mention that the buildup started 3 weeks before a very large Subaru drag racing event here in the midwest. I think I saw at least 30-40 cars roll thru P&Ls doors during that 3 week stint. A few of them being 400+whp build ups. So really, IMO, he was lucky to get it done in under a month and right before a big event that was sponsored by the shop. Either way, pretty wicked street car.

I did a 93 octane tune as well, it was 350's for both hp and tq. I don't have that dyno plot to post up, but I'll try to get it.

It is a Spearco TMIC and was in fact the main reason the car took as long as it did to complete. (we had to wait forever for it)

My best time was an 11.8 at 115 which was my last run. I started off in the low 12s, then a 12.0x at 112 and then the 11.8 at 115. Just wish I had a few more runs because I know I can do better on the launch. Also my re070s were nearly worn out which I'm sure didn't help.

Here are a few more pictures of the car, taken in all their salty Chicago winter glory. haha

Thanks for posting those videos DoctorNick!

yeah, that top mount works great! Especially going a buck on the highway. It boosts almost instantly and the power delivery is amazing! For drag use, I might get a nitrous sprayer for it, to help get a denser charge of the line. But then again I was thinking of getting a FMIC. So far it runs great, so I'll leave it as is for now. Once the new motor is fully broken in I'm gunna put up new dyno plots. My goal is 500 awhp and same on tourqe, so let's see how it goes. It really shouldn't be to hard. I got jorge and all my freinds at P&L doing a great job to get me to my goals.
