woohooo!!! thanks man!
I took videos of every lap. I'll be uploading some of the better ones this week; possibly tonight conditions were perfect yesterday, those that didn't go missed out. I suggest you stay tuned for the event on November 18th. |

How did you videos come out? A lot of mine were very shaky. This is the first time I used my suction cup mount. Maybe something was loose

I had it mounted to either the windshield or the side window. The mount must have been loose. We'll see if youtube can take out some of the shakiness.

No, this seems to be a Miata problem and not a GoPro/mount problem. The videos from your Miata I took with my GoPro are shaky, but the others are more steady. Even the video from the F85 is more steady than the Miata ones.

Not to metion, the Miata videos yielded the best screen grabs ever!
But the F85 video I have is awesome. There are three sounds total in the video: 1. V8 roar, 2. Tires squealing, 3. Me and the driver giggling like school girls. |

You must have looked at the heat 1 book, from what I saw Brock picked up a second and a half on his last run to beat me , but I'll have to wait for the final results. once they are posted. I'll post up some pics and do a write up once everything is put up on NER.

Tech Bulletin #1 in the August 2012 fastracks, refered to an immediate implimentation of a 180 treadwear for the RT classes, but was actually a mistake and was published in error. ALTHOUGH....
The 180 treadwear will go through for next season, effective 1/1/2013. No more RE07's or RS3's in RTA... I guess its not so bad, the tire choices are more limited now if you were planning to max out tread wear for the class. Just means even more people are going to be running Star specs, unless you have deep pockets and can spring for the RE011's and go for the 180. This might actually work out in my favor, as the '13 STI's stock SP sports are @ 200. Last edited by Abgrooms; 10-23-2012 at 09:30 AM. |

NER SCCA Team Challange
10/21/12 Chilly and windy through out the day, but that didnt stop a few competitors for dressing up for their teams. The cold track and even colder tires made for some excitment early on, as Chang here can attest to. Due to the lack of people that signed up for the event, (which didnt make working grid any easier ) the course ended up being a very short down and back course with 2 tricky tight turn arounds. Get them right and you would be sitting pretty, get it wrong and you'd be picking grass out of your car or wiping cone marks off your fenders. 7 people ended up in the Road Tire AWD Class, which is the most we have had all year, made for tight competition all day long. On the last run of the day for RTA Brock Donnelly with a great drive shaved 1.5 seconds off his best time to edge me out for 1st. More Photo's can be seen here: http://www.facebook.com/DaggerSLADEmedia/photos_stream http://www.flickr.com/photos/nowin/s...7631832087963/ Please give all the credit to the photographers as I don't take any of these pictures. Final results can be seen here: http://www.ner.org/sites/ner.org/fil...202012_fin.htm Don't think I'll be able to attend any more events this year but between NE-SVT, ADSI, CART and SCCA updates we should have plenty of stuff to keep this thread going untill next season starts up. Hope to see you guys next season! -WB #8 AGS |

Interesting enough the PAX didn't come into play in RTA. We all finished in order of PAX and RAW

Saturday starting at 7am at Devens, much smaller club and more relaxed atmosphere with much more seat time due to the lower car count.

Congrats to Brad for getting first place in the novice class! Interesting weather made some interesting runs through the fog in the am, but the sun came out and it was a really nice day.
Can't wait for next season, I'll have to save up for some new tires for then. |

The NESVT event was my first in about three years! What a great club to run with. Lots of runs and lunch included. I was definitely a little rusty but I can't complain about 5th in the race tire class and 5th overall.
RSBlood, which Miata were you? |
