HID kit for STi Projectors
For the people who have a aftermarket HID kit on their projectors.
Is there a kit for the STi projectors? In order to fit in the HID kit will any modification have to be done to be able to fit it in? If there is, is it hard?

The STi lights use a different bulb from the USDM lights. When you order your kit, just be sure to order the bulbs for the JDM lights, not the USDM.
I don't remember which bulbs they use, but you should be able to search for it. |

I have the OEM HID, but through my many searches I've read H1 I seem to remember
I'm sure you can find something, or you can just look on the bulb |

They are indeed H1's and the top high beams are 9005's.

I recently e-mailed HID 4 Less and they can make us a plug and play solution.
here is an e-mail conversation I had Dear Mohammad Are they already in the car now? Yes, if you sent it to us then we can make it plug and play for your low beams and or highs too Kyle 866-571-5538 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mohammad Nasr" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, May 09, 2002 11:38 AM Subject: WRX Stage 2 > > Quick question about WRX lights > > I currently have STI headlight housings. That McCullough system looks nice. And with the $50 coupon, you're under $500! Might have to think about a set for the Prodrive headlights...
Don't HID setups need auto-leveling though, so you don't blind folks? I know that people are running HIDs in the stock setups without auto-leveling, but with the projectors, I'd think they would be bright as hell. Kevin |

AFAIK The HID LHD Projectors in Germany(Japanese HID don't) have auto leveling and are mega expensive.
All other projector type lights seem to have leveling motors, but you need the multiposition button and stuff that alot of people are trying to buy and hookup to various lights. |
