I always thought aftermarket lugs and oem wheels was a no, no.

I have the oem open style rusted nuts. Besides, I'm kinda hoping to find some 17's.

Have they scratched or anything? That's my main concern with them.

I got some Weapon-R blue aluminum lugs during a raffle at WCSS 8 (west coast subaru show), I would never have actually spent money on something like that, but there's no price like free. What's weird is how light they are. I took all my lugs off and compared the weight difference for ****s and giggles, and it was atleast a pound or so, hehe.

How do u guys prevent your lugs from being scratched by the socket after repeated take offs and ons? No matter how careful you are they seem to get dinged up after awhile and look like crap.

hardened plastic sockets on summitracing. they are soft enough not to scratch the anodized surface areas but tough enough to be torqued properly. I'm not quite sure about the key though.... that still puzzles me. maybe I need to own a new set of wheels and lug nuts... donation anyone?

The seat of those lugs doesn't rotate so it won't chew up the rim. Its quite trick and worth it if you have $200 to spend on them. I wouldn't get them for an OEM rim or anything tho.
