Cool New CLE Member

Greetings Everyone- I recently picked up a '13 Impreza, so I'm looking for user's groups and NASIOC was the first one that popped up.

I haven't had a Soob in the garage since '09 so I'm looking for a local independent mechanic in the Solon area. Dealer service recommendations are also welcome, but those guys always seem to take a huge bite out of my wallet.

I'm also interested in suggestions for any other user's groups or forums that would be useful for someone in NE Ohio.

Thanks

Default Exhaust

New WRX owner here looking at putting a catback exhaust on my 2015 WRX, thinking either the Invida N1 Dual or the Q300 Dual, but I'm open to other suggestions. Was wondering if anyone in the Cleveland area had either one of those on their 2015, and would be willing to let me hear them in person or answer a few questions.

Default Subaru Repair Specialists in NE Ohio?

Does anyone know of any independent shops or small niche of gear heads that work mainly or exclusively on subi's in Cleveland/Akron area? I need a motor swap on an '09 Legacy (non-turbo) and am trying to find economic alternatives to dealership prices. I found a few engine shops and they're cheaper than any dealership obviously, but still pricey.

Every once in a while this thread gets some activity and everytime the same result happens... very little response. If you haven't already turned back a few pages you may not have seen that mostly everyone has moved to the Facebook based local community. That group is NEOSOC and can be found HERE.

For anyone searching NEOSOC on Facebook and requesting to join, make sure that you check your Facebook messages. (Messages could be in your "message requests" section that is only accessible via a desktop Facebook session)

If you have your privacy settings so that you can't be messaged by anyone who is not your "friend", you will have to be proactive and message an admin directly. You will not be added into the group without approval via the Facebook message. Those that are not local to the area will likely be denied.

I messaged all the admins asking if they would post to the group if anyone could check out a car for me. Looking to buy it but don't want to drive 1200 miles if it isn't as good as the pictures make it look.

If anyone on here would like to make a little money to go check it out please let me know.
