ACS Grand Prix of Long Beach on SPEED right now

Just about to start for any of you that are sitting at home on this beautiful Memorial Day Friday.

P.S. And what's up with this coin flip at the beginning? The driver on the pole position calls it, and if he wins the flip the grid stays lined up the same. But if he loses the flip, the starting 5 are inverted. WTF?

Ratings down that bad that they have to throw in a gimmick?

^Yeah, dunno. That's the first I've seen of it.

They just finished the GT class and have moved to NJ for the Touring class.

Mazda 6 out front followed by a TSX, and then the STI. Going into the final lap, and the Mazda's too far out to catch.

Yup, done. Mazda, TSX, STI. The kid driving the STI's only 21 and just got his first podium finish in only his third start. Nice.

Last name is Aqualante. Didn't catch the first name. Car was built by Phoenix Motorsports based on the big decal across the side.

I wish Comcast offered SPEED without having to buy every other frickin channel. Heck, my regular cable barely works half the time, maybe I shouldn't upgrade

Directv has speed as part of the basic package.

i just subscribed to SPEED and its disappointing, they should of named the channel to NASCAR TV instead.

Yeah, I am ready to ditch Comcast.....I have the standard 75-channel whatever, and I literally cannot watch 72 of them right now...heavily pixellated, no audio, very choppy. Last guy came out on Tuesday, said "there's nothing wrong". Screw this.

Yeah, all the 6 hours of motorcycle racing (American, Daytona and World Superbike/sport, MotoGP, etc.), 3 hours of ALMS and 3 hours of Grand-Am (DP & GS) I recorded last sunday is just too nascar-y for me too.

Not to mention the Speed World Challenge (what this thread is about), Speed GT, Koni Challenge, SCCA nationals, Formula1, GP2, AMA Motocross, etc.

Yeah, nothing's ever on. But then again, I have this thing called a "DVR" that records all this stuff for me so I can watch it at my leisure, I honestly don't have enough time to watch it all.
