That's an awesome price! Unfortunately my 502s are 17s, otherwise I'd pick up an extra at that price for a nice full-size spare.

Love this setup.

Also interested in this question? Are the wheels made for conical or ball seat lugs?

Great form folks.

Can anyone comment on the wearability of the pained surfaces. Im not sure if they are painted or powder coated. Is anyone noticing premature wear, scratching, flaking, etc?

Thinking of getting 18 501s with Hakkapelitas for winter use. Just wondering how they will standup to road salt etc.

I have had mine on for a year and half with no issues on the surface. It is my daily and is driving through all weather.

Recently did new front brakes. A year and half of ownership.

Off-road park before and after.

Running through the dirt roads and puddles.

Finish on mine have held up well. They seem to chip in gravel a little easier than a powdercoated wheel would, but if you go with the silver finish you won't notice it haha

My Method 501s atop Mt Washington last month

Sweet, what are your wheel/tire specs? Running any spacers? That looks perfect.

Anyone run the 502s on a Bugeye!?
My fenders are pulled and rolled currently running 255/35/18s. I have 04-07 front Brembo brakes so I would like a 17 setup for the 5x100 as a winter setup. Will the 5x100 502s fit my Bugeye with the front brembos?

17 & 18 in 501, 502 & 503 is brembo clearing.
To estimate poke, jam your current wheel/tyre specs and the 502 specs into eg: willtheyfit.com.
Id do it for you but you didnt mention your current width & offset.

No. Stock offset is +15 or +25 depending on which wheels OEM you have. Most every aftermarket wheel for the 6x139.7 bolt pattern is either 0 or -12.

Does anyone know if the Method 501 in 17x8" with a 245/45/17 fit on a 2019 STI with brembos?

I'd like the highest profile I can get while maintaining very close to the original tire height on the car with the 19x8.5" wheels and 245/35/19 tire that came stock.

I emailed them and the response was "They should fit", but 'should' is not really what I was looking for.

All these pictures of, and talk about wheels, yet basically no one mentions offset of their setup. Even when ppl quote a picture and ask for specs.

Hey all,

So i'm curious for people who put these on, ideally coming from the same wheel size, did you notice a difference in driveability because of the (assumingly) added weight?

I have a 05 sti with stock bbs 17x8+53 wheels, so the method mw502 17x8+38 matches stock size specs besides the offset and weight. When i went to a heavier/wider/taller 18x8.5 wheel before i noticed such a difference in performance feel.. i much prefer the feel of the smaller stock bbs's. the car just feels so much peppier and lighter and the throttle/steering response is overall much nicer with the bbs. The 18s honestly felt like a strain on my tranny so much that i immediately wanted to get rid of them.. especially after every time id throw the stockers back on and realize how much of a difference it was.

I'm just curious if i threw these 17's on which are basicalll the same specs as my stockers, but even heavier than the rota's.. how it's going to feel? obviously theyre HD and heavier so will rob power, but i wonder if they would still "feel" better than the 18s just because the size specs are the same?

Weights:
05 STI Stock BBS 17x8+53: 20lbs (according to master oem wheel thread, never weighed mine w/out tire)
Rota Grid 18x8.5+44: 22 lbs according to my notes.
Method 502 17x8+38: 24 lbs according to this thread

any input appreciated, id hate to spend another $2k on wheels/tires and not like the end result. (obviously they look fantastic and i'm drooling, but i'm getting older and starting to care more and more about the whole function over fashion thing.. besides i cant see the wheels when im driving.. but i sure feel them!)

I'm planning to get a set of method wheels 501 though I'm not sure if there's a huge difference in ride quality between 17's and 18's.
