UPDATE #4: Online registration for the car show closes tonight at midnight.

If you haven't registered online by now you will have 2 chances to register in person. The first will be Friday August 10th at Chino Valley Subaru from 7-10pm and again on August 11th during car show roll-in at Santa Anita Raceway from 8am-9:30am. This will be your last chance to show off your Subie and get a great grab bag and possibly win your class.

Once again be sure to register for the car show!!!

Water will be there for free.

NO COOLERS OR EASY UP'S sorry but insurance and Santa Anita policy.

Registration will be available during car show roll-in which is between 8am-9:30am at Gate 3 of Santa Anita Raceway. We have room for @20 cars to register the day of the show. Sorry it's late night but we've been busy with setup all day.

Today was my first time sitting in a Subaru to be honest.

My first impression of the Legacy: Where is the head room and leg space in the back?!

WRX: The clutch was a lot lighter than I expected; however, the shifter was very flimsy. I felt that one could mis-shift easily if they aren't concentrating on driving. Also, because of the way the hatchback is shaped, it looked like there was even less room in the boot/trunk. To be honest, my GTI can probably hold more stuff. For the ride, there was not enough of a drive time to accurately make a good judgment. The car felt a little more twitchy than I would like. I wanted a more sporty feel. However, the suspension was good in absorbing the bumps.

I drove the 08 today in the event, and I have to say it is growing on me. The handling is intuitive and the body feel tight. Consider the soft suspension which provides comfortable ride in the real world, and the yet the car hold the line well. Excessive speed into a corner may makes it slides but in a predictable manner. I can live with this car without changing a thing, frankly I am kinda tired of car with stiff suspension that beat me up on my commute. No more 08 bashing from me.

Seriously, what a piece of junk. Car handles nice, but that has never been a huge issue for Subaru. I'm really dissapointed, I knew I wouldn't like the outside, but hating the interior was not something that I was expecting either.

just got back...and i actually enjoyed how the car handled...hahaha maybe it was the driver who was one awesome driver....yeah the clutch was way light (felt like a honda), so used to the heavy clutch that my 02 wrx stock clutch....i think the outside will grow on me and it wasnt too much of a turn off, but the interior sucks!

very interesting experience

word. The plastic cheap interior is such a step down from previous years. At least the exterior isn't AS BAD as the photos make it out to be.

Not 21, so didn't get to drive it, but my driver was a MADMAN. Really gave it all it could take (sometimes more - aka rear sliding out and hitting a cone). But I am much more impressed with the ride and responsiveness. Less ugly in person, but still not a fan. Interior was weak and the dials were nasty and huge. Overall, feels more solid and well put together, performance-wise up to par, step back in looks dept.

Some sick subies in the show though. All in all, a great day.

I just wanted to give a big thanks to Subaru and the organizers for a great event. The staff was very friendly and the gifts were really nice.

Having seen the new cars today for the first time, I have to echo other sentiments that they look much better in person. It kinda hit me then that the new STI will probably look quite good.

The car had lots of body roll, but it felt composed and stable.

My only regret is that my wife joined me out on the course. She wouldn't stop screaming, especially on the pro ride-along course and the driver actually had to slow down because she was pleading with her so much!!
