Default Shifter return spring

im trying to find out what spring I can buy that is the same as the Subaru OEM return spring for a manual transmission. I can stand the slop i have in the shifter right now. Any tips or help would be great.

thanks.

Just thought Ive heard that there was an almost exact same spring that one can get at Ace Hardware. If there spring only costs a 1.50 then great. Just dont feel like paying 10 bucks or soemthing for a spring.

^You can find a replacement spring from any home improvement store. I'd go with one which had a little more spring strength for added measure against slop.

I knew you had something about this, David. That's why I told Mike to go looking for your name.
