I also noticed that the price for the STI Performance Exhaust option for the WRX has increased to $1,770. For the 2018s it was about $1,170. I don't know if this was a typo or if they have actually changed the performance exhaust. There is one picture on the Subaru site that says the pictured car is equipped with the performance exhaust option. It's hard to tell from the picture, but it looks like the exhaust doesn't hang as low as it did for previous years. I could be imagining things though.

What did you select?
I went with the crystal white pearl, short shifter, auto dimming mirror, footwell lighting and bumper applique. As MagicDoorHinge mentioned, most of the internal components from the RA has been added, including the new exhaust, revised 3rd gear, and ECU tuning. Looking forward to drive it.

Keep us posted when you will get your delivery date.

I will also keep email SOA in hopes someone on the other end will give me one as I read in other posts some people got that to work.

When i test drove a 18 STI i also felt that the car shifted well and ride was "smooth". I'm in a 15 forester XT so of course the car will be more harsh but i was expecting worse.
Sounds like an awesome deal! If you are trying to get a coupon, your best bet is to call Subaru of America and ask for a loyalty coupon. I don’t really know how much is the loyalty discount is, but it’s might be $500 off.

Finally got a VIN and updated delivery estimate for my Base STI without Recaro seats. On or before July 25th, from "Last week of July." Makes me feel better for some reason

For anyone who still has an interest in a type RA there is a nice black one in the showroom at Ira Subaru in Danvers, Ma. You may be able to "deal" on this one. Rick (Subaru Ambassador).

I looked on autotrader a few days ago and there are over 100 new ones still for sale. I sent out invoice offers on a few as a take it or leave it approach. Obviously it was a no so let them sit on the lot.

Going to the dealer to talk to them about the 2019 WRX/STIs. I have a lease on mine until Oct 2019 ('17 WRX. Leased one Oct 2016). I want to see what my options are. Is it too early to talk to them about maybe getting into a 2019? Suggestions would help!

You can do what I did, call your bank and find what your payoff is, then go to KBB and verify if your trade in value matches or is over on what you owe on your WRX and if so your are good to go! Next step would be emailing your local dealerships to get the price you want. When you get the price you want discuss that you have a trade in and specify how much you want to get for that trade in. Once everything is set, order your car and trade your car in, keep in mind you will need another vehicle to drive while you wait for your order.

Just placed an order for a 2019 Base STI. Emailed several dealers in the area and got a variety of responses. A couple quoted me at MSRP, a couple said they were not taking orders, best offer I got was 750 under invoice. Put an order in and expected delivery date is sometime in August. This is in CA, bay area. Can't wait and just wanted to share my experience.

I was thinking about doing this and actually decided with a 18 CWP performance package. Final invoice was 29,700 for me.

Did you pay MSRP for yours?

I just looked around and it appears that one black RA is offered at near invoice. The used one has 86 miles. I wonder what happened. Someone bought it, took it to the track for a day, and returned it. That or their spouse saw it and told them to get out of the house.

Nope, 30,475. I’m okay with that, it’s well under MSRP. I did the performance package almost solely for the seats. They’re much more comfortable in my opinion.

I wish Subaru offered it in the limited trim. Proper audio system is a must. I saw the color on a crosstrek and loved it

I'm not an audio head so as long as I can hear the traffic report clearly I'm good to go.

Most of the time I listen to podcasts but once in a while some edm played loud makes the drive to work more enjoyable.

Hey there, I'm in the bay also. Can you tell me what dealers gave you the best deals/were the most transparent to work with?

Looks like my dealer updated that my order made the first allocation and the delivery should arrive before the October ETA Subaru gave us previously! *crosses fingers*
