Default transmission slip?

I have a feeling my transmission has slipped. I was wondering if anyone could confirm it. I drive an automatic 2.5i, and when I take my foot off the gas, the RPM's drop quick, there seems to be no resistance at all on my gas pedal, and my RPM's aren't where they normally are. Anything else I should look for, or should I bring it in?

When you're cross-posting, make sure you edit this part out. Also, you might want to cross-post this into the Transmissions forum instead of the N/A forum.

What does it normally do when you take your foot off the gas? It's been a loooooong time since I've driven a woman's car... uh, I mean, an automatic ... so I couldn't tell you what your symptoms mean.

Seeing as the car is a 2006, why would you not take it to the dealer? If there's something wrong with it, let Subaru fix it for free!

As previously mentioned.. post in the correct forum next time.

Check the transmission fluid level (directions are in the owners manual) and take it in.
