Default 2018 STi Build to the Ultimate Street Car

Hey guys,

Thank you for taking a look into my 2018 STi build I have been working on. A little background about myself -

I have grown up my entire life on the north east coast. My friends and I have always been into skateboarding and other extreme sports, and also modifying cars. Before owning my current STi, I owned a 2008 WRX wagon for ten years. While having that WRX throughout all my college years and early 20's, I have spent a substantial amount of time taking it apart and modifying it, which showed me a lot about these cars (and hard work). After my ten years with my first Subi, I was finally able to buy the STi I always wanted. With a change of job in the past year, I have been able to travel to work using mass transit, and have my STi for the weekends/fun adventures. Not having to use my car as a daily for work anymore has allowed me to finally build it the way I have always wanted. I have been working on this for about a year now and this weekend the hard work has finally started to pay off. I did not have any specific power goals going into this, other then just making the most fun street car possible to drive. Right now - stock turbo and pump fuel. Below I will list my current modification list - but please keep in mind there is much more to come in the future. Please let me know your thoughts or any questions you may have.

Love DGM. Wish I would have gotten that color myself. How harsh are those Perrin motor mounts? My car is a DD so I stayed with Group N just to be safe. I’ve had my fill of harsh mounts with previous cars and didn’t want to go down that road with my STi. Nice build,

Thanks man! I really enjoy the way it has came out so far. I know what you mean about the motor mounts. Kind of over Kill with a stock block and turbo to have the heavy Perrin mounts. So far they havenít been that bad, I cannot complain. The install wasnít that bad with everything already apart either. I will definitely keep you updated in the future after I ride them for a bit longer.

Next up, unsprung weight reduction. Ditch those 28 pound anchors Subaru calls wheels.

Thanks man! I always do think about hood options or something to do with the hoodscoop now that I donít need anymore with the fmic. This is definitely a good option to look into
