Default 2007 Forester Sports XT Build

This is my 2007 Forester Sports XT with 197k. This weekend I swapped in an entire STI drivetrain from the transmission back. I am running on the stock Forester engine for now.

-2007 Forester Sports XT
-2008 STI transmission and rear diff
-2008 STI Brembos (The rear calipers aren't a direct swap. I modified the rear backing plates.)
-2008 STI wheels, 18"X8.5", +55 offset
-245/40R18 tires
-0.5" wheel spacers front and rear
-2008 STI front struts with an adapter/ spacer totaling 2.75" lift between the strut and tower (The struts aren't a direct swap. I made adapters.)
-Stock Forester rear struts

I did a lot of research on here leading up to this swap, and I probably wouldn't have pulled it off otherwise. If anyone needs any info or advice on a similar swap, send me a pm.

Google photos album for high resolution.

Images aren't working for me. You might want to use an image hosting service like Imgur.

Very nice! Love the STi wheels. Looks like it could have come from the factory like that.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm torn between swapping in a new EJ25 or a turbo EZ30. I know the quick and easy route, but I can't make anything easy. I tow a trailer occasionally. I could use more low end torque. The six cylinder sound is hard to beat too.
