I agree 100%. The thing is that, they aren't misleading you if they clean a title legally, and by law they don't have to tell you about any previous damage to the car unless you ask about it. Is it dirty? Of course. Is it legal? Unfortunately it is. That's why I was saying that its up to us as a consumer to make sure you know what it is ur getting urself into. The used car game is shady as all hell.

Just say...."SHOW ME THE CARFAX!" LMAO

Default Hotties

I think I saw the crew from there at PIR once. The only thing I remember about them was the couple of hotties they had following them

But they did look like a couple of big time douches with nice ass cars.

all those were only from the first 20 or so i scrolled through
so thats 10 listed as clear titles, but actually salvage cars with "scrubbed" titles
another 6 were listed as clear title with no obvious result that it was a salvage car (so, maybe legit, or maybe never reported as a claim)
and and the other 4 were listed as having salvage titles on the silverline website.

which leads me to believe that only about 10-20% of the cars Silverline sells are not total pieces of junk

Shame these ****ers aren't in Washington. I'd file a complaint.
I'm pretty sure title fraud isn't legal.

Washington has kindof an "owners honor system" things when it comes to salvage/rebuilt stuff. I bought a car in Washington once and the seller had an insurance document that stated the car had been salvaged/rebuilt and that the owner was supposed to submit that document to the DMV to get it marked on the title. Well the owner never sent it in, so it never got branded. I conveniently misplaced that piece of paper... Also the car was only worth $1000 anyways

I saw that. Some poor noob at silverline had to clean the **** stains out of the seats.
Or maybe it was used as a soup kitchen.

Next time you go shopping at Silverline, remember this video.

I've yet to hear good things about this company, I'm wondering if there is a owner/manager/worker on here that has any defense against all the garbage they produce or if they are to ashamed to claim this as their company.

Well in this thread, a few months back, there was someone praising them. They had joined NASIOC just to do so, so i called them out on it. They tried calling me a liar, so i posted proof and they haven't posted since... soooo, maybe they tried? haha.

People keep buying their cars.... If they're misleading customers, that isn't cool. Selling known salvage vehicles is what they do, customers need to do their research.

I'd never buy a salvage title car, but have dealt with Silverline several times when I used to live by the airport. I've bought or been given several parts. They always seem pretty cool and helpful and have given me great deals.

Yes, making money would be the main goal of a business. The difference here is that these guys are shortsighted - a wise businessman would be truthful and make a lot more money through word of mouth and repeat customers. Its like scammers on ebay, where you can scam one guy out of a few hundred here and there, or you can make a successful, reliable business and have a constant flow of income.

I am surprised that the title fiddling is legal, one more reason to only buy from those you trust.

If they are so bad, how do they stay in business? How do they keep selling so many cars when there are many users on here who have so much trouble selling good legit cars (like me)? Is it just a function of people get what you pay for so if you want an inexpensive STi you actually get a cheap STi?

I am not saying any form of misleading business is ok, but obviously they are onto something that is reflected in the market regardless of shady practices.

Biohazard cars are often ones where somebody splashed all over the interior or exterior. Or had a heart attack at the wheel and were found in their garage a few weeks later.

Yep, I think I'd rather have a car that was used as a soup kitchen, than one which had someone burst all over the insides.
Still, the thought of some noob at Silverline having to clean that **** up makes me .

Its not title fraud, its called title "washing". Totally legal, completely douchy.

As long as the car has been repaired and inspected by highway patrol, you can apply for a clean title in a neighboring state.

According to the last paragraph, it is fraud.

Has anyone tired this with the cars sold above to see if the history does indeed come up with a VIN search?
