Yes, I did notice that a lot of folks like it. Close relatives are seriously considering the Sedan, I told them to wait until this dealer insanity blows over and to see what the hatch looks like. Yeah, I will not be leaning towards recommending the hatch that's for sure.

Now let's see what happens with the Si and the Type R.

Varmint..... you are on that forum. Let's hear your thoughts.
There was a lot of concern about the sedan spy shots as well but it looks good in the flesh. The hatch has that truncated look so I think it needs a spoiler and aggressive body kit - I think the Type R will probably look good, but maybe not the base hatch.

Is a liftback a popular enough design in the U.S. economy car segment while a sedan exists too?

The 10th gen hatch greatly exceeded Honda's sales forecast.

I think it's simply that it's easier for Honda to make a liftback out of the sedan rather than try to make a conventional hatchback body style using the sedan as a base.

Look at the Corolla, the hatchback has a very compromised luggage space as they tried to fit a hatch bodystyle on a sedan.

It seems that the current Civic hatch is more hatch than the new one but Honda does see success with it. I like the current hatch but still wonder about the new design. I will still prefer it over the sedan.

At least the rear of the hatch doesn't look nearly exactly the same as a Jetta. My brother has a GLI and there are two Jetta's on my street so all I see is Jetta when I look at the rear of the new Civic sedan.

Don't care for the back. Let's see the doofus side profile. Corolla SE hatch looks much better, I bet driving dynamics is on the Civic's side.

HUGE improvement from the current gen.

i still hate fake exhaust vents, especially when you can see the little pea shooter on the other side...

someone needs to post a picture of the car without that doofus in the way. It makes me angry.

I don't know what Alex is doing here, but his humor is usually pretty decent.

Will it Bacon is one of the most relevant vehicle tests of of our modern times.

Passing judgement on a dude's personal life off of an out-of-context picture, mad because you feel somehow entitled to get free clear images of a car pre-embargo.. that's some hardcore Boomer stuff right there.

Here's another leaked pic without Alex, so you don't have to actually call some stranger a "cuck" to make it to lunchtime without a mental breakdown:

It could have been an attempt by Alex for a leak. He mentioned that he can't release much info until the 23rd.

It's still better than the real fake tips that Audi are doing. I consider these as a garnish, not that much different than what was offered on the WRX/STI hatch.

The advantage of fake exhaust tips is that they don't have to be cleaned regularly like real exhaust tips, and they can be closer to panels/bumper cover as they don't get hot. The designer can achieve the look they are going for, and the owner doesn't have any extra effort to keep them looking shiny.

Do I like them? no, but I wash my car regularly, I also hate simulated engine noises being pumped in through speakers, but there are people that like it.

It's like a good looking kia stinger rear end... only thing i'd rather see is either real tail pipes, or no fake chrome garnishes...

It's going to be the side profile that kills it though. gonna look like a turd.
