Bought my first Subaru just over a month ago, so far I love it. 2004 Java Black Pearl Forester XT. Paid $5250 for it with 156k on the clock completely bone stock. 4eat, Leather, and moonroof.

I started off debadging it and then ordered a set of Rokkor D2 Coilovers for it the first week, then buffed the headlights and tinted the foglights yellow. Hoping to get some different wheels for it and get the windows tinted sometime soon. Heres a couple pics of how it sits right now.

Looks good love JBP paint. You may want to look at this about your ride height, this is from the suspension sticky's for a wrx, so for a forester that has 1" raising blocks under the motor it probably needs to be even higher:

For initial setup of coilovers, they should not lower the car past the point where the A-arms are parallel to the ground in 99% of cases. This means a good starting point to work from is 13.5" measured from center of hub straight up to fender lip all around is the lowest you want to go. You can adjust higher from there as needed via personal experience or corner weighting.

Thank you! A guy here where I live has a Red FXT on some split 5 spoke gold 18s, Ive talked to him about trading my factory wheels for them. And i would really like some OEM STI wheels.

Thank you. The coilovers are actually for an impreza so I can only go about 3/4" higher than I am. I'll look at the angle of my A arms this weekend when I have it up on ramps.

Excellent price. These cars typically go for a premium.

The ride is decent, slightly bouncier than stock but not bad at all. And the more weight i have in the car, the better it rides. Looks good! Red is still my favorite color of FXT.

Finally got ahold of the guy here in town that asked me about trading wheels, had them put on last week. The new wheels are 18x7.5" MB Blasts. I had to crank the back up slightly to stop rubbing my coilovers, so I ordered spacers so I can crank it back down when they come in. I attempted to tint the windows myself and realized why I never tint my own windows....so im going to have it professionaly done sometime. And I did the DIY painted badge on the front using Mopar Panther Pink

How's the ride on those coilovers? I know they're cheap but for the people like us who can't drop $2k on coilovers.

Congrats on a great purchase. I dig the Black on Gold look for sure. You might also check out subaruforester.org if you haven't already, between here and there is anything you could ever want to know about your FXT.

The ride is pretty decent, not quite as smooth as stock but they were well worth the money to me.

To fix my rubbing issues againts my coilovers I ordered some 1" hubcentric spacers for all 4 corners. Got them installed and cranked the coils down more, then rolled the fenders.
