Default How much does the Tri-State tip a tow truck driver?

Hey everyone,
My sister's car just got towed from my house (trans. is acting up). I met the tow truck driver and all. Everytime I get something towed I always wonder how much to tip them. I usually give 5 bucks. I was just wondering what other people tip if anything at all. I think driver's start out at like 15 bucks an hour. For exceptional service (not being rough with the car, being careful)with everything I'd maybe tip 10 bucks.

Thanks in advance,
Steve

As a tow truck driver, I don't think the amount matters as much, its just nice to know your work doesn't go unnoticed.

Just like any other tip, this depends on how much of an ******* the guy is.

******* = $0.00

Nice Guy = $5.00 - $10.00

Nice Guy + Very Helpful - $10.00 +

Yes, it would.

Seeing as how I do the tow truck thing, there have been many times where I've had to bust my ass to hook up a car. Times where I've had to lay in a puddle, dig out snow, get fluids leaked on me, and physically hurt myself to to tow a car, and for the hard work to go unappreciated.

Dude, is this even English? I got a headache trying to decipher that...

I usually tip a few bucks depending on how professional the services rendered are. I've had a few tows that were just bad; damage to the car, discourteous service, and the inside of the truck was disgusting to boot. I have also had two occasions where the driver went out of his way for me, those resulted in 10+ tips. I had one guy from AAA leave before I could tip him, haha!
