The other day i was in the McDs drive-thru when i pulled up to pay i get this:

McD guy: Hey those white things in the front of your car, are those your turbos?
Me: What?
McD guy: Those two white things in your grill is that a twin turbo?
Me: Ooooh, no those are my horns.
McD guy: Oh ive never seen horns like that before.
Me: Yeah....drives away.

Was at Autozone when i was waiting in line to check out, there were about 4 guys ahead of me. The clerk opens up a second register and calls me over.

Clerk: Hey man is that your Subaru?
Me: Yeah thats my grocery getter.
Clerk: STi right? My buddy owns a '10 STi, WRB with gold BBS wheels. Its fast.
Me: Thats cool im sure he enjoys it.
(we talk a bit more)

As i take my receipt i look back as another customers steps up to the counter and the clerk tells him hes closing and going on break. Opened up another register so i didnt have to wait in line.

Just tell her its pointless to research girls. You may find an answer, but it changes 5 mins later. Plus, car's are MUCH cheaper to mod!

Lol well I hope not! But I'm glad to see I'm not the ONLY one. We will see if it will last.

She just can't see why you would want to MOD a new car. "Its perfect the way it is when you bought it." Ugh..understand me or GTFO! LOL

Take her to a track day to gauge her response to the sport. My gf never understood it, but came to a track day and she was blown away. She is wanting to upgrade the RSX to a WRX now...I'm so proud of her

^+1 Ex said that to me too. I care/love/spend more time with my car more than her. Haha. I used to say I'm making sure it can get me from me to her at school. Then it got tiresome. Ex for a reason I guess?

Ill use that one next time! Its very true too, we'll (or at least i'll) never have an answer for them.

It all stemmed from her coming home just after installing my CAI, and just Flippin out. Which is why she wasn't involved with the know abouts with my front lip!!

Yeah, well lucky you! She's currently driving a 90 525 BMW and in the process of looking for a new car, we all know what my .02 was! She didn't wana hear it. I asked if she wanted to go to subiefest at the end of the month. And that was ALMOST as quick as I've ever heard her say NO! Lol.

How much longer can one last?! only time will tell!

haha Non car guys trying to make car guy convo is always awkward.

After I bought my '11 wrx, my neighbor directly across the street comes over while i'm in the garage and says

"I didn't know you were into that."

"into what?"

"The loud car thing"

"It is really that loud? It's just a stock Subaru."

That's when you know it's time for a N1 style exhaust.

The day after I got my 11 wrx I pulled up to my friends for a football game and they said they heard me pull up as well.

Dork. He probably drives a civic he inherited from his mother when she got a new car.

I've unintentionally set off car alarms before in a parking lot in first gear at around 1500 rpm in my 11 WRX, stock everything. Now I try to keep it above 2k rpm so that doesn't happen again. Must have been a sensitive shock sensor or something.

The stock '11 WRX exhaust has a louder exhaust note than most cars/trucks out there. Not surprised people perceive it to be "loud."

Also, the deepness of the sound has a lot to do with it. Shock sensors are more sensitive to lower frequencies like the boxer rumble. I set alarms off all the time with my SPT exhaust without even trying.
