to build or not to build?

Alright so I bought a 95 L 2.2 that i shouldn't have ,but its mine now. It had 123K on it and the previous owner ran nitrous in it. It ran fine then but, now after 10K and new stock muffler(old one cops didn't like) its leakin oil and smelling pretty bad. I think cam and/or crank seals.

Which brings me to my questions
1. If I want to build a motor should I just use my 2.2 block, do I need a closed block 2.2 to run a stroker, of course budget is a problem then and reliability a must.
2. I would need to bore the block oversize and find matching pistons
3. then I can use 2.5 phase one crank and the dohc heads?
4. If I just bore it and not stroke do I need custom rods
5. what is the best setup for Na motor
6. Will the stroker really be worth the money and effort or should I hop over to the swap forum?
7. would it be easier just to swap to a 2.5(pros vs. cons)?
8. what should be done by professionals? Can I do anything myself?
9. I never read what ecu to use, is just 2.2 with a remap or something? Stand alone to pricey I think.
10. Whats the HPon a stroker like this(better than 2.5 Torque,Hp)
11. on a typical rebuild is it mostly gaskets and seals or If i built a stroker what needs to be done the next rebuild?

some things to note 1. engine may or may not get boosted on this build
2. it needs to last since its mostly a daily driver(for now)
3. I dont drive to hard so it mostly would be overbuild. Not looking for a monster just something that could handle up to 300-350 hp max


Know that my knowledge is built off nasioc forum reading and browser searching.

And this all depends on the motor i have now and how long it lives for. Whether I can gather funds. sorry not trying to post cross threads or waste peoples time I would just like some thoughts of the people who have or are thinking about going down this road. My brain gets a little racked with this info and got to spill it to someone who can relate?
