I've just been eyeballing the alignment as I did all of those things, and that actually worked out reasonably well. The car tracked straight and tire wear wasn't too bad.

I got not quite 18k miles out of the Indy 500s. Would've gotten a bit more, but toe wear was killing two of them, so I had to retire them a bit early. Hopefully having a proper alignment (with toe zero'd out nicely) will help the Federals have a healthy life.

Cool Fixed up the STI

My son is borrowing the STI while his Mazda3 is getting rear-end accident damage fixed (6 weeks to repair ), so I spent yesterday evening and today under the car to fix up some leftover issues:

- Fixed oil leak on AVCS solenoid, chasing the threads on one bolt that had two threads galled and cleaned out the bolt hole with a tap.
(HUGE THANKS to AndrewTech for helping troubleshoot the leak from pictures I took and for having the $5 gasket in stock )
- Primed and painted some rush spots on oil pan and engine compartment
- Changed the oil and filter
- Took off Autocross tires (Azenis RT615K) and put regular summers on
- Replaced passenger side turn signal bulb
(Subaru - could you possibly make it any harder to change these bulbs ???)
- Straightened lower radiator mount tabs and re-installed light bar after getting it powder coated
- Trimmed the 3/16" Al skid plate to clear the light bar and now-straight radiator mounts.
- Re-installed diff protector, which is a PITA get onto the diff mounting bolts

Still need to adjust the clutch switches to fix HSA but that may not happen before he leaves.

I'm going to miss the loud boxer rumble but I may put the Azenis on the Tesla3 for autocross - with the Prius stock tires on the Tesla, it's completely lame in autocross; just can't turn with real street tires.
