Default How an EM can make my car run smoother??

I'm considering to get an EM to my wrx; cobb access custom tunned. But why to many people says that the car feel a lot more smooth after installing the EM and that their car is a more fun to drive, even lf the power gain is not that big. I guess the smoothness means flat and steady TQ and HP graphics.

1- Should not be my car smooth from factory????

2- Why is not smooth??

I'm sorry for tha questions but Im pretty new on what refer to EM

Man....no offence but that was a hard post to read!! Hopefully you're not a 6 year old wasting our time!! LOL...

To get to the questions...

EM makes the car feel smoother because it plays with the fuel/timing/boost curve to bring them to the optimal setting...from the factory the car is set up to hit certain emissions..gas milleage and power specs...to the settings arent optimal...Also what EM will usually do is bring the A/F leaner in the lower RPM's so that the car feels stronger lower down which makes the transition from no boost the max boost WAY smoother and quicker.

Than there's the whole OL/CL transition but that get's pretty technical...

Remember that most cars from the factory run RICH... what set the ECU at the richest settingso that the factory ECU will comply with EVERY car that come out of the factory. A rich vehicule is not always smooth...with will usually bog a little...

And yes the goal is to have a nice flat smooth HP and torque curve
I guess that the easiest what to explain it...
