Default 4.11 5MT, Rebuilt, all new OEM (except gears/synchros), $700

I have for sale a rebuilt transmission that originally came out of my NA 2.2L 96 Outback. I rebuilt the transmission and then less than a 1,000mi later the car got crunched. The frame was bent and the car was a loss. It was a sad story...

I rebuilt the tranny as part of a 2.5/2.2 frankenmotor swap with EL headers. The tranny was in great shape but I was putting a brand new shortblock and rebuilt heads into the car and wanted the tranny like new so I didn't have to worry about maintenance for years to come. I got the swap done and then 1,000mi came the crunch.

Ive been saving the tranny for a 5mt swap into my 99 but other projects have come up and so Im clearing room out of the garage. The rebuild consisted of:
* Brand new OEM input and output bearings on the main shafts
* Brand new OEM phase II center diff *for those wondering - yes you can swap a phase II center diff into a phase II housing if you do a little machining to the tail housing to make clearance
* Replaced all bearings in the tail housing
* Replaced the axle seals

All parts were Subaru OEM and the work was performed by a local Subaru shop. I did not replace the synchros because it still shifts like a champ and this wasn't a track car.

I am asking $700 - initially $1,200 . I prefer pickup or I am willing to drive up 150mi to meet just throw me a tank of gas and a burger. I am located in north Idaho near Couer d'Alene. Shipping can be arranged if need be but I'd prefer not to.

Let me know if you have any questions. This is essentially a brand new transmission and I'd love to see it get some use other than collecting dust under my work bench.

Thank you,

Lee

I can put together a shipping quote but I have two questions first.
1) Residential or commercial receiving location?
2) Can you handle receiving a pallet?

I have a few options I can ship a tranny with but given that it won't fit in a flat rate box I want to see what you can accept so we can try to keep shipping costs to a minimum.

Thank you.

Alright, the best shipping quote I have is $225. The assumptions I used to generate the quote are:
1) You have a forklift to handle receiving this out of the back of the truck.
2) The tranny will be crated in a 4ft long, 2ft wide, 2ft tall plywood crate.
3) Total weight including the crate is 160lb.
4) I have spare plywood laying around and I'm offering to build the crate at no expense.

I'm pretty confident the crate will be shorter than 4ft but I'm taking an educated guess at the weight.

Let me know if you have any additional questions or would like to move forward. If you would like to move forward please feel free to PM or email me and we can go from there.

Thank you.

My apologizes, I meant to get pictures up last night be had a storm wreak havoc through town last night (50+mph winds...) and I wasn't able to get pictures taken. I'm working the late shift tonight but I'll get some taken and posted tonight or tomorrow morning for you.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you.

I got saddled with a couple 14hr work days so I'm a little late on your pictures.

But here you are. The shifter bushings are brand new whiteline bushings. The throwout bearing is also brand new. The rubber boot around the shift fork is even brand new. I built this tranny with the explicit intention I didn't want to deal with it for the next 80,000mi.

The pictures show a GrpN tranny mount but it is not included with the tranny.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thank you,

Lee

It is. I see your profile says your in south korea and I'm not sure it makes sense to ship it there but the tranny is still hanging out under my work bench.

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions I can help address. Thank you.

, unfortunately Klumzee I'm working on building a house and the bank won't accept my hopes and dreams as payment...

In about a month when I have time, if this hasn't moved, I'm going to crack the tail housing off and pull out the brand spanking new center diff and drop in a used one I have laying around in my spares bin at which point I'll to drop the price to $600.

Default Spare bin

Would you happen to have a 5th/R synchronizer hub? I'm in need of one and I'm scouring the classifieds for one.
