Question THE SIMPSONS or FAMILY GUY?

Dont get me wrong, I enjoy the Family Guy but isn't the humor and majority of the show ripped off the Simpsons?

Which is the better show?

YOU VOTE!

FG uses a lot of the storylines and humor from Simpsons, but it manages to be a lot funnier. I chuckle now and then when I watch Simps, but I never crack up like I do when I watch FG.

If I had to choose, I would be a tough call. However, since I've always been a simpsons fan, and a newb family guy fan, the Family guy still seems fresh to me...
go figure.

Family Guy was only on three seasons, and pound for pound they packed more funny into each episode that the Simpsons have. That being said, I think if you stretched FG over thirteen seasons it'd probably flub an episode or ten too.

I chose FG, but this isn't a fair comparison; I could just as well say the Simpsons' best three seasons (whatever those might be) are just as funny as FG's.

It goes both ways. This Sunday's Halloween special (Homer killing Death and taking over its job) sounds VERY familiar.

Piers Anthony maybe?

I like them both for different reasons, it's unpossible for me to choose between them.

Both shows are funny. My vote goes to Family guy, because they seem to push the envelope on whats offensive and still got away with being on Fox.

The Simpsons is probably one of the best shows of all time. Even with some dull episodes, theres too many classic episodes and characters that you can't not know. My roommate dressed up as Duffman last night for halloween, and when walking around our downtown area there must have been at least 100 drunk college kids who shouted "DUFFMAN! OH YEAH!"' from across the street.

However I can't find myself watching a Family guy episode without rolling on the floor the whole time. Some stuff is just so random and crazy it's great. For example when Peter is sentenced to death and the Koolaid guy breaks through the wall, thats flat out priceless.

Oh no! Oh no! Oh no! OH YEAHHHHH!!!!

Lisa all the way when she reaches the age of consent! Meg is a dumb broad that wines way to much and seems a bit clingy! She needs to hit Neil and get it over with. Lisa has a mind of her own and I respect that. I'd hit it two times!

Between the two shows I have a hard time. Honestly the Family Guy did have some episodes that in my mind just bombed! Episodes that I did not laugh at. I like them both for reasons all their own. I can't play favorites between the two.
