Pet Ambulance?
I was behind a "Pet Ambulance" on my way home today. Some veternarian or animal hospital company bought an actual (former) ambulance (from auction I imagine) and put Pet Ambulance stickers on it. Professionally mind you, even said it backwards on the hood.
Not that I'm against helping animals, but rather people abusing power. Do I actually have to pull over for this? Even if the lights do still work?

There's a 24 hrs clinic on Oak street. We had to drive my dog there once at night...
It is definitely a good idea, but I can probably get my dog to the hospital faster then they could |

^That's what I was thinking... Most pets around here are small enough that you can safely/easily transport them yourself to a vet

Either way it will still be faster to just take your pet in yourself since they are not real emergency vehicles and will have to obey the traffic rules. Not to mention the service is most likely not free unless you bought pet insurance/medical plan and sending your pet into the emergency room is very expensive. |

You could probably get your pet to a Vet (who'd have proper supplies) a fair bit faster then paging their pet ambulance service, getting a call back, explaining what's wrong, giving your address, waiting for them to show up and THEN driving your pet to an animal hospital....

theres alot of them around town, and its dangerous if they spray your dog in the face... from what i heard, they start bleeding from their nose and eyes |

remember, not everyone has a car, so this is a pretty awesome service to have as a Vet.
you don't have to get out of the way, but would you not just to spite the animal? |

seems stupid to me...last time i checked there's plenty of vets that do house calls....
instead of being normal human and rolling around in a car we got some self-righteous mofo's riding around in a big ass truck making me think a human being is in dangeerrrrr....also obstructing my views, polluting my environment (rofl @ environment)....and taking up too many parking spots in conclusion i vote no |

When did you last check? (No, I am not trying to be a dick, I am serious. I remember it being a real issue that there was shortage of vets to do house calls for large animals b/c so many vets were making more money in the small animal business). If i had a cow or a horse I would call the woofbulance to see their reaction. Last edited by shawmacs; 02-25-2009 at 10:35 PM. |
