Haha come on now.

Bad ass build, but how is this a 2.65L? 79mm crank and 100mm pistons is still a 2.48L really...

Mr. Bawb... you can use whatever size drill bit you want. Bigger is better.

Oops... It's an 83mm crank. Which still only makes 2.6L so I'm not sure where the other .05L is supposed to come from. It was a Gruppe-S crate motor.

Looks like a awesome build. Those rods really scare me at 600whp though.

I don't like them either. I would also have preferred that the block be sleeved. I bought the car with this motor in it from a friend. It's "supposed" to be fine to 700hp but we all know the difference between advertising and fact.

Most of the time the car will be on 93 octane and closer to 500whp.

This fall I'm going to start building a sleeved e-85 motor in the garage. It'll have much stronger internals and higher CR. Then I can turn the juice up to the 650-700 range.... That is unless I find a GTR in the $45k range then all bets are off.

Haha the APR wing? No wayss! lol I'm having new 1 piece supports made to get rid of the little 2 1/2" risers. I know the wing is a bit much given the lack of any other aero but it'll all fit together once I'm done. I'm getting a JDM STi Ver2 lip, aeroguards and strakes, painting the side skirts, and getting either a Voltex or HKS diffuser. That should balance it all out.

Something along the lines of this:

101mm pistons give you 2.65L and 102mm gives you the 2.7L but both require sleeves. Either way you have a bad ass car, no hate here.

Yeah I think there may have been some confusion with the previous owner. I do know for sure that it isn't sleeved though. We gave him a lot of **** for cheaping out on that part when he did the original build.

6/18/12 - Started tuning the car Sunday night. Car was making boost VERY early. Like 3500rpms. That's at least 1500rpms faster than the old turbo.

Anyway, at about 5200rpms and somewhere around 16-18psi it goes lean as hell no matter how much fuel we add in the AEM. The tuner thinks it is the injector driver. I also want to check if the fuel filter is clogged. I had a clogged injector from where we replaced all the AN lines and I must have left some trash in the lines. I'll be checking the filter tonight.

Mike at Track. One has another injector driver he will let me try out. Hopefully its something simple.

6/19/12 - Ordered the Whiteline bumpsteer correction kit. I needed new tie rod ends and ball joints and the car is obviously lowered so it was a no brainer.
