Aha...

I've heard bits and pices of that thread, it's good to finally read the original post.

It seems Blaster88 was the first one to bring it up off the original post... therefore Blaster88 owns 'Grap on my Tired.' It's the right of first stab ya know.

SeanLiew,

The time... 1989..... The place... USA...

Toaplan creates the "Zero Wing" video game.

Toaplan releases a port for the Sega Genesis console with the addition of an intro scene, which is then translated into english (very poorly) and released in the United States.

And now... the original
All your Base are Belong to Us video. Well, the video game part of it is the actual original Zero Wing footage... the rest is just funny.

That little transalation screw up turned into one of the largest video game phenomenons in the world. Everyone says it now.

In previous posts Nick or Imprezer has said that i-club.com is multiple servers. I'm assuming that means load balanced. That original thread is part of the original UBB HTML archiving mechanism and the old HTML threads probably weren't moved to all servers in the load balancing chain. So, you'll only get that old HTML thread when the load balancer points you at the "right" server.

I could be totally wrong, but that's usually the reason for disappearing and reappearing content on load balanced servers.

I found it through my website's stats actually... I was looking at the breakdown of refrerring pages and was just randomly clicking on 'em. That page was one of the ones that was listed because of the infamous cthulhu fish, aka, the green turd in my post.

we should sticky this in the "newbie's" forum. 2 reasons

1) no more "what the hell is grap on my tired?"
2) n00bs can see what happens when we find someone who's dun to make fun of
