Default Spring Install Cost

How much does it cost to install a set of springs? I would like to know before actually going to a shop to install them. I don't want to be ripped off

Thanks for the help,
Tim

Thumbs up

My local shop is willing to install my DMS coil overs for about $200.00 US dollars.

There you go.

If you lived close near me, I would do it for beer and food

You really need to check out your regional section and make friends. Thats what "install days" are for. YOu get to meet other subie enthusiests, learn about your car, lie to each other and get piss drunk in the process.

suspension work IMHO is VERY easy to do... all you need are the right tools. Some people decide that getting tools is the same cost as letting a shop do your work, but if you think about it you pay for tools once, and you pay for shop installs over and over. Go to Sears, buy yourself some tools, then go post in your local region forum and ask for help on the install. shoot, I'm getting my whole turbo kit installed this summer for the cost of a pack of beer and a few pizzas

Frankly I was surprised how easy it was to do strut installtion. Me and a friend did it in 4 hours which included lots of time wasting in between. Removing the first rear strut is probably the hardest step, then after that the front struts are much easier. Like rhdude says....its all a matter of the right tools

If you DIY, make sure to mark the lower bolts on the front BEFORE taking them off. You will notice little markers on them... they adjust your camber and if they are off, can cause a not-so-fun-to-drive-car.

Just mark'em with a center punch, or warn the installers about it first!!!
