Most people like raised vehicles because of the more commanding view of the road and the ability to run over stuff without much drama.

Also people like larger vehicles not only because the people themselves are larger. If you throw kids in the back or even two kid seats, all you'll hear or have are complaints. Or even just teens who'd normally jab elbows into each other's sides.

Yes it’s easier to buy a 7 seater than to say no to your kids.

Listen. Every car needs to fit two 6'10" adults in the front along with three rear facing baby seats in the back.

Listen...we don't even need cars anymore man. They just need to make CUV's and SUV's. The passenger car is over man. The lots should have small, medium, and large CUV's. And a truck/SUV platform. This way all mfr's will have 5 models. Three sizes of CUV's like combo meals at the local crack house, then extra big ass fries version in the SUV, and a truck. /AutomobileMarket

You get! Why not everyone else. Only part missing in your statement, is we don't need to even drive now. Just go ask those sleeping Tesla owners...

I mean, there's that too. Most people take the path of least resistance, so I'm not surprised if buying a bigger vehicle makes one's life SEEM easier to handle.

But we're not talking about buying a new, 7-seater. We're talking about making a compact car roomier. People want their babies to be safe in their thick baby seats, and they also want to be able to fit a third person between the toddler and baby seat. It's not completely unreasonable. Most of my friends and family are married and they'd rather have a roomier 5-seater than a massive 7 or 8-seater.

Only have 1 kid. It is massively cheaper and you can have impractical cars. When my daughter turned 2, I had an FR-S, my wife had a MINI Cooper S, and we had a Rav4 as the family car. It was shockingly easy to live with. Here is preschool dropoff with my FR-S and my mountain bike on the back.

Our highlander is a mere 1.2" longer than an outback. More efficient under-hood design leaves for more cabin space in the same footprint.

Personally, I don't think they need to change a damn thing on this car. It's fine the way it is. Won't work for everyone, and that's fine.

I'm sure this is an unpopular opinion, but those carbon fiber seats look sooo out of place in an otherwise very plastic cabin.

It's an odd opinion. I just see a sea of shades of black.

300 units just sold out in Mexico. It’s pretty easy to keep a Mexican registered car in the US basically full time. So, if you have the means to purchase and register a GR Yaris in Mexico, you *can* have a GR Yaris in the US.

As someone who lives in a border state that sounds enticing.

They've all been sold in the first 24 hours so good luck with that...

Or

Buy a wrecked Yaris, pull vin and swap the vin into GR4. Chances are pretty good that no one would think twice. That said, if your city / state has fancy emission software it could be an issue.
