Used 2015+subaru Wrx Vs Sti
hey so I in the market in getting a used 2015 and up wrx or sti,the question I have is it worth the extra say 2k to 4k for an sti since its such a small amount difference also im in the city but im mostly on the highway and around town.also I see a lot of mixed emotions about the engines and was can handle more power stock, becouse eventually I want to upgrade the turbo but it is going to my daily all year around so I don't want to do any internal work.
and feed back is the best feedback, i just want some opinions on what I should do thanks guys in advance!!!

Both are fine as daily drivers. The STi gearbox all by itself, to me is the biggest upgrade and the feel is night and day compared with a WRX. $2k-$4k tells me that you're comparing something like a 15 STi vs an 18 WRX or base vs limited. I look at the cars like this.....the STi starts at a higher level with better base parts. Modifications use parts that have been around forever (well, back to 2004). The value will be there when you go to sell it. A WRX gives you a really good MPG all around car. You really can just drive it like it's a Camry. You're likely going to have more of the warranty left with a WRX. The FA engine is certainly a newer design with a timing chain, so less worry about destroying an engine if that goes. Get insurance quotes for both. You might find that the STi is cheaper because there are fewer yahoos wrapping them around trees.
Make your choice and pay your money. |

"small amount of difference"??? do some more homework as to why there is a WRX and an STI.
Also you're mad confusing about the reasoning not to go with the STI since you live in a city, but plan on upgrading the turbo without any internal work? do some more homework on pick something you want to drive. It's your money. |

differences in brakes/suspension/transmission/tmic/turbo. STi has DCCD, and the six speed gearbox is stout. There's definitely major differences between the two. if you have the money, go with STi. if you don't care, well... go with STi?

You have a lot of contradictory statements in there.
Learn about the platform WRX/STI, see what fits the most to what your goals are. Daily driver with good fuel econ- obvious choice WRX Something that out of the lot could be track ready? - STI |
