Ford dropped the ball with the Ranger by only offering a 4 cylinder and not giving the US the Raptor version and sales have not been great as a result.
Hopefully they learned from that mistake. |

It's also like a 10 year old design at the end of it's life and it shows. They should have brought it here when it was new. There will be a new one soon and it will probably be a lot better.

I dig it. The 2.7lt Ecoboost is legit and a fun engine.

I liked the features on my Fords, I didn't like repeated trips to the stealership for recalls and FSAs. I'd probably be more excited about a new Bronco if I thought it wouldn't be a lemon.

I'll reserve judgement until I see the final product.
That's a healthy segment to get into, though. Jeep sells the bejesus out of the Wrangler and its derivatives and Toyota has been selling a shed load of 4Runners the past few years, which is probably Jeep's closest competition. |

6 Fords so far and no major issues save for one of my Raptors which had an extremely rare issue with a fuse blowing. |

I've seen a few in testing. Overhangs look shorter and roof is taller than the renderings, IMO. These things literally look like cubes on wheels. Seems like the front grille does have font, but may only say Ford and not Bronco. Definitely an off-road version in the works. One test vehicle rides several inches higher than the rest. Most of them look like the Ford equivalent of a Jeep Renegade.

Jeep Renegade? Yeah, the girl won't like that. Probably getting her a Cybertruck instead.

That looks largemungus. A lifted Flex with mud tires. Not what I had in mind.
More this: or this: A 2 door full size Bronco would be ok if it has retro stylings. A Gladiator with a hard top is a nope. |

She really loves Jeeps because they're boxy so I'm hoping the Cybertruck is acceptable. |

It doesn't look too big in this shot. I like this image but I want the round retro headlights. But it kinda resembles a Rover product with it being a 4 door. So lose the doors. |

I am afraid that there is no way we get a 2 door bronco... THe market for a 4 door has been solidified by the demand for the 4 door jeep.

My attempt at sarcasm was meant comical, but obviously I did not do a good job and managed to insert my foot into my mouth. Happens sometimes, so I would not be me if I did not apologize for my crudeness and/or stupidity.

So what makes it a Bronco and not another SUV they already sell? Would a 4 door Mustang still be considered a Mustang because demand is higher for 4 door cars? Hard pass on a not-a-Bronco. Will keep the Tiggy.

No worries. I don't talk much about her so there isn't any way for you to know.

Look at the truck market, the majority of them sold are 4-doors; it would be a poor move financially and guarantee a quick model death to put out a 2-door only model of an SUV. Maybe have the option of a 2-door, but there has definitely got to be a 4-door. If there was a 4-door mustang (no that EV CUV is decidedly not a mustang), I'd have a mustang for a daily right now; I don't even care if it's called a mustang, call it a a falcon, fusion, thunderbird, maverick, thundercougarfalconbird, or whatever, just give me the 5.0 6mt rwd combo and I'm sold. A 3rd or 4th+ car is not that common anymore; and although I'm comfortable putting car seats in and out of the back of a 2-door, the majority of people aren't, and a 2-door bronco is in 3rd or 4th+ car territory. |

I'd consider a 4 door bronco as long as it comes with at a minimum a 2.7lt Ecoboost and doesn't cost more than what I can get an F150 for.
