thats an avcs code. you could try changing your oil, checking your oil (is it low?), or cleaning the avcs solenoid. if its none of those issues then it could be a timing issue. is your car running funny?

Oil is fine. Car runs fine. Just when I turn it on in the morning it will stumble/shake for a min then it's fine.

Going to buy a new oil control valve for the driver side head and see if that helps.

Try removing the AVCS filters first. If you arent sure how to, do a search, I believe theres a few write ups here in the forums

Data log your avcs vvt intake duty cycle etc and see what your numbers are. You shouldnt see more than 1 at idle after the car warms up. I believe there is another parameter that indicates the target vvt advance

If it's more then 1 at idle when warm what does that mean?

I had the same issue. My post is #12. Code has been gone since I posted that. Easy $180 fix.

No. Just ask for the exhaust AVCS solenoid. They'll know what you're looking for.

It's bank 2 (driver side). They aren't interchangeable.

Ok I know which one it is now.getting it replaced Friday along with some new up pipe gaskets. Car sounds like a sewing machine when given throttle. Very annoying.

Yes i also just had this happen to me. My code reads p0024 exhaust cam 2 (LH) system range/perf

On my accessport i put four monitors up with avcs exh. left, avcs exh. right, avcs in. left, and avcs in. right. Exhaust right would go up to 25 and intake left & right would go to 15, but the exh left would stay at 0 and go to 1 once in awhile. So someone told me check my oil, check avcs solenoid for gunk and to go from there. Im taking solenoid out tomorrow...
