help an old guy out (2017 H/K rear speaker issue)

been a long time since last posting on nabisco.

my bugeye still sits in my garage, but that's not the story here. i picked up a 2017 prezzy limited for my youngest daughter, with the right number of miles and scratches pre-installed.

one thing i noticed was left rear speaker was out. figured it was blown. swapped it out. speaker was not blown.

no idea what the sound system topology is in this model/trim/HU package. anybody with a quick and dirty explanation so i can get to shootin trouble? ie, is there a multichannel amp buried somewhere, or is it all head unit? wiring in door looked decent, but plastic condom had been removed so at some point someone else was in there... probably trying to fix the damned speaker.

is the HK amp in the rear hatch/trunk, just in front of the spare tire well, under the carpet, just behind the rear seats?

if you have access to the two speaker wires, a continuity check would be in order if/when you locate the amp.
