Couple things:

1) Your bugeye looks absolutely beautiful.

2) It’s great to see another GD in the Beltway. Not many of us left. I get paranoid every time I have to drive mine into the city these days. The driving conditions have gotten so much worse over the years.

3) Can you explain the thread title? I have never understood the joke.

Thanks to a buddy of mine, she is finally running, getting tuned this week and hopefully its back on the road for good. Its a JDM205 w/4.44 trans and billet vf48 and a bunch of supporting mods.

After sitting for 7 years we had to replace soooooo many things like the gas tank, fuel lines, brake lines, etc etc but if i didn't do it now, i would have had to do it later.

The bay was repainted before the work, I will end up doing all of the other body work over winter. Have a Spec C roof vent waiting to go in and trying to find an authentic S203 wing. Currently going through it and cleaning up a bunch of stuff now; what a time capsule it is now. I am looking forward to tinkering with all the little **** again, didn't realize how hard it is to find parts for it now in good condition.

Thanks and totally agree with you - so rare to see anywhere these days even at cars and coffee or car shows! Warms my heart whenever I get an unexpected GD chassis sighting on the street.

The thread was originally called "4v Daerht Eyegub Eht" as it was the fourth "the Bugeye Thread" (they get too long and then someone makes a new one). I made the comment that it was annoying getting email alerts "someone posted in the 4-valve Derper thread", which resulted in a series of name changes about my unawareness that subscriptions replaced email notifications. For a brief spell I had the honor of "SilverF4Turbo doesn't know how to use subscriptions" as the thread title, thus making it my build journal. Looks like they tried to change it to something normal at some point but editing it got time-barred. All kidding and not especially funny or interesting but there you go

thank you! its really the only piece I have left to 'complete' the car. This is a replica of the s203 wing, and is the only actual non-oem piece on the car. I know its stupid but it drives me nuts that its a rep

I did find a few for sale but the prices are a bit astronomical, but i guess given the rarity i'll just have to bite the bullet.

on a side note, has anyone found any vinyl that is a close match to WRB? i'm doing full respray over winter, but for just a few months i wanted to wrap the hood so it doesn't look as bad, currently there's pretty much no clear left.

Here's mine again after almost 3 years of hard work/restoration. It ain't perfect, has plenty of small dings here and there, but I'm loving it! I may post a detailed thread on it here, but we'll have to see. I have a semi-detailed one on IWSTI: https://www.iwsti.com/threads/2003-w...t#post-4554471

Last time I posted it in here was summer of 2022... come a long way since then!!!

Got a Nine Lives Racing 71" wang mounted to a spare wingless trunk that matches my cars paint color, added a Derale power steering cooler and a Setrab 25 row Oil Cooler + Fuji Racing sandwich plate, and finally retired my JDM hood scoop for a KSTech Hood Vent/Scoop Delete! Finally over 4000 miles on this block, as well

Saw your other post on IWSTI. Nice work!!! I think yellow bugeyes are probably by far my favorite GDs.

Car is finally tuned and back on the road. Swapped to new coilovers and wheels recently. Gotta mess with ride height and alignment. Need to tackle this faded hood and rip the vinyl off the roof next...
