REV9POWER (Godspeed/Gimmick) Turbo Inlet Review
(excuse the image quality above^) Bought myself a REV9POWER Turbo Inlet from "Image In Motion." This is basically a Godspeed inlet, which is basically a Gimmick inlet. I purchased it out of necessity having broken the breather off my OEM inlet. Build Quality 4/5 - Quote:

All in all, the install is fairly smooth with the assist of silicon spray. Since I purchased this out of necessity, i will likely upgrade to a better inlet when funds are more expendable (likely a Tomei, as I like the silicon arms and straight fittings better from a fitment perspective). I have a steady idle, and though I don't have a boost gauge, don't believe I have any vacuum leaks (can't hear hissing, don't see any bubbles forming or getting sucked in). The worst parts about this install were the fitment, and the OEM hoses I have being so hard. I had to, in one case, zip-tie the EVAP hose (by the rat's nest) with some silicon to insure no leaking. If I had bought an ancillary kit, I'm sure the last act of the install would have been smoother. Saw some white smoke on start up and warm-up, but soon dissipated so I can only assume that was some of the Silicon lube I used on the pipe getting pulled through and burning off through a leak in my exhaust. It's a decent bang for your buck at $140CAD

After driving for the last few days, i have to say i'm happy with the product. With some extra attention and hose clamps, it's a satisfying replacement for the OEM inlet.

How did you get the inlet to mate to the turbo snout? I have the same inlet but am having difficulty to get it to mate without kinking, so I went ahead and ordered a Perrin inlet since it has that indentation to work around that part protruding close to the turbo snout.

UPDATE on the above product tho: Been just over a year since I installed this inlet. No leaks, no tears, no degradation to the point of inlet collapse. I will be upgraded to a Tomei or Mishimoto inlet, as I am replacing my turbo, but this has been a satisfactory purchase for me. $Would by again$ |
